Professional Voice Actor Loves Skyrim and Wants to Voice your Mods

I didn't make the text that's currently in too long, to avoid interrupting the flow of the game too much - yanking what I currently have on one of them, though:

Sitting here, you suddenly feel a shift within your soul. Somehow, you know that when you rise, you will return to the outside world... regardless of whether or not you are ready for it.

 

I would expand this a bit and there's one or two others, but it would not be a big job for the moment.

Actually, I do have a request or two. For some of the more... theatrical spells in my mod suite, I would love to have a voiceover replace the textboxes I use now. How good are you at doing the 'creepy mysterious DM voice'? This is distinct from the 'creepy DM who won't stop hitting on you' voice. :)

Sorry for the delay Astral, my girlfriend's brother arrived in town last night at the end of his tour with the Navy. Obviously a time to celebrate, but it kept me from completing my samples last night. I intend to get them finished tonight, or at least recorded so that I can treat them tomorrow. Because I'm using a handhelf atm, there's a little more background noise than I'd like so I'm working on getting the software needed to eliminate that white noise. Let me know if you have it or know how to do it though, and I'll skip the post production so you can get the samples post haste :)

 

Anybody else out there have any requests for my sessions tonight?

Happy to - as I said, the goal is to get some samples up tonight. They won't be much in the way of crisp quality while I'm using my handheld (won't be booking studio til I know who wants my work) but as of now the samples I'll provide will be

 

- Nord Male (Specifically, samples will be for Locaster's King of Riverrun Mod)

- Thalmer and Bosmer Male

- A reading of the narration for Astral Fire's spell mod

 

Is there something in particular you'd like to see? I know you said you don't have any VA required projects in the near future, but if there's something you'd like to hear I'm happy to make it happen.

You raise your sword and slowly, you speak :

"Vile beasts...".

You raise your sword over your head, and shout

"You pitiful mounds of flesh! You SHALL PAY for what [[Drag this out for around half a second]] you [[ditto] have [[ditto]] done."

Lowering your sword to your chest, and holding it at arms breadth, you proclaim :

"Come! [[say this line slowly]] See what the demons fear and the Gods praise! You shall not live to see [[get louder towards the end of tomorrow]] tomorrow!"

 

Say it in a few accents and/or voices and/or w/e. No need to do the actions unless it gets you into your role.

 

Would be fab to hear it :P

Heh heh... my friend, you know how to give direction. For that, I thank you. This one is certainly interesting, and I'm happy to read it as a sample. I'm going to tweak the dialogue just slightly, to give it a more organic, Elder Scrolls, dramatic feel. When I do the sample, it will read:

 

You...

You vile beasts...

You pathetic whoresons! Your pain shall be tenfold to theirs... I. Swear. It.

Come at me, cowards. I am Dragon's Bane! I am Death! Today, Skyrim bathes in your blood!

 

Hope you like the changes. You'll like the recording better ;p

And yes, absolutely I'm willing to do work for you. I have a great love for Lord of The Rings, and Skyrim is truly a perfect port for it. I've got the range for halfling, dwarf and elf and have a special fondness for evil voices. Would you like any particular samples when I sit down for a session tonight?

I've got three samples for you :] Pardon the white noise; right now I'm without a mic but if you like what you hear I have studio spice for a clean recording. Also, don't be afraid to give me some direction; I've been working through direction almost my whole life, and won't be wounded in the slightest if you nit pick :D

The first is more of a Thalmer character - necromancer / general sadist Sample 1

The second is much gruffer, orcish and barbarian Sample 2

The third is relatively standard human, but nobler in voice and using your original dialogue Sample 3
