Rennn
GTX 460s are good. I use one, but I sadly have the 768MB version. Make sure you get a 1GB version if you get one, because that 768mb keeps killing my fps with heavy texture mods. Here's an amazon link:http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B006KZGH88/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339718398&sr=1-1&condition=newThey start new at $140. You might be able to get one for less on Newegg. I can play Skyrim on ultra without usually falling below 45 fps at 1440x900 on my rig, which does use a 768mb 460. I usually get ~55 fps, but I don't know your other specs. Heavy ENB mods will still kill a GTX 460's performance, btw. It's a solid, reasonably priced card. That's my vote. A 550ti is another good choice. The performance is supposed to be pretty comparable to a 1GB GTX 460, and they start a bit cheaper.http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004S5CCP4/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new If you like AMD, an HD 6770 should let you play Skyrim on high, assuming the rest of your pc measures up reasonably. It's a little cheaper and probably a little lighter on your power supply unit, but AMD has had a few driver issues with Skyrim in the past, and the performance isn't quite as good. They're still a reliable card, from my experience, and I think AMD mostly has their drivers sorted out now. Those start at about $100.http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004Z5GRVW/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new Edited June 15, 2012 by Rennn
hangarspace
Up until recently I was using a borrowed MSI GTX460, 1GB very over-clockable card. I was able to run high settings lots of texture mods and get 60FPS all over the place except for in Whiterun where I had added a lot of other enviromental mods. I've just upgraded to an HD7970 3GB which is a beast of a card, but the 460 was fantastic for its money and very over-clockable. Chris
