Wolfskin75
Well, here is a typical boot session. I am running F4SE, I click that and It crashing. I reboot Steam cause there is a update that seems to be daily. After the steam client reboots I click it again and everything starts up. I load my saved game and everything looks great expect I get a notification that 8 to 12 mods are not available. I then opened vortex and get a red alert "Missing Master" ... ArmorKeywords.esm.. which is a requirement for those mods that have not loaded. I think look on the plugins section of Vortex and NONE of the esp's as well as the Keywords.esm.. I will switch it to a profile I have created without any mods install and then back. Sometimes that works but most of the time I have to reinstall Keywords and then reactivate the other esp's. I will then play the game and repeat the entire process the next time I play. Mine you, I don't reboot my computer often but I do close Vortex after the game gets running. I have uninstalled the game itself and will reinstall the game along with the mods but. This doesn't sound like normal behavior and I don't recall having the same issue with NMM. I am too use to Vortex at this point to go back to NMM Edited October 1, 2018 by Wolfskin75
rmm200
A couple more notes:Turn off auto-updates in Steam for Fallout 4. It will cause you far more grief than is warranted. If you need F4SE for mods you are using, those mods and F4SE have to be updated to the version of the game you are running. If you don't have mods that need F4SE, don't use it.Don't close Vortex after the game gets running - close it before you try starting the game.Fallout 4, F4SE, and all your mods have to play happily together without Vortex running at all.You can look in your game directory and see exactly what it thinks is installed. You don't need Vortex running for that.Either you will see your ESMs there or you won't. Vortex has nothing to do with it if it is not running. Wolfskin75
to be clear is not Fallout 4 that is updating it's the Steam client itself that seems to upgrade everyday. I have block Fallout 4 from auto updating since I am using F4SE, (which means I would have to update looksmenu and MCM.) but on the Mod tab it will show installed.. on the plugin tab they will not be listed. I have picture which I will post tonight. This seems be the thing causing issue in Vortex, I haven't as of yet checked the data folder to see if the actual file is there, but. I keep it running just in case I need to do something else with it. Edited October 1, 2018 by Wolfskin75

Sorry to belabor the obvious - but after you Install, click Enable - then click the Deploy button up to.After that finishes (spinning wheels go away), your mods should be visible in Plugins. They will not be there until you Deploy.Again - sorry for repeating the obvious - but maybe something there will help. One very last note: If you set Steam to Offline - the client won't update on you. When you want it to update - just put it online again.
Wolfskin75
right. which I do. and go into the plug in section I make sure it is enabled. Now, when I get this error occurs, this is No, not even a disable listing for the file, esm at all in the plugin tab. It is listed in the mod tab, but not the Plugin tab. So again it is NOT a disabled file.. there is nothing. not even a blank space where it was, until I reinstall it, it appears again, alone with the other mods. On the mod you feel contains the missing ESM, go to the far right dropdown and select Open in File Manager. That display shows everything Vortex knows about the current mod.Are the appropriate ESP and ESM files shown? If anything is missing, check the original downloaded archive. Look inside with 7Zip or something. If the files are in the archive, but not in the mod folder, Vortex has deleted them because it thinks they were deleted externally, like by NMM. Wolfskin75
It install correctly and everything is working find for a while. The mod has it's own bsgm file as well. When X happens, according to Vortex they are no longer there. I know in reality it is and the rest of the installed correctly. It just is not recognized as being there... Then when I "reinstall and replace" they all show up to Vortex.

Wolfskin75
Here are my screenshots: Error message Proof that it is installed but wait...there's more other proof that is was there the whole time
Olivir2019
Here are my screenshots: Error message Proof that it is installed but wait...there's more other proof that is was there the whole time That is Mod view, not Plugins view, AFAIK. The question is - is the ESM in Plugins view enabled? If it is not, then even with Mod enabled, there still will be Missing Masters error. Can you show us, what your Plugins view looks like?
