Rilgumskar wasn't particularily dazed by getting smashed into the ground, and was immensely glad that he had cast his flame cloak spell. As he was getting up, he watched Waldo engage the Vampire Lord, dodging several spells, delivering a kick to the crotch (ouch.) and delivering a massive blow that should have severed the arm, but just scratched it. He wasn't thrilled to discover that he was the only one possessing the means to kill this thing.

"Alright, I'll get him." he shouted to Waldo.

Waldo couldn't hold off the Vampire lord forever, so Rilgumskar put his sword away and prepared a fire spell in each hand. He had used a spellmaking altar at the College of Winterhold to create a spell of equal power to Fireball, but without the ten-foot radius part, so that it didn't cost nearly as much magicka. He charged up the spells in both of his hands and shot them at the fiend, watching as they slammed into its back. The beast screeched and turned around, only to meet two more balls of arcane fire that slammed into its chest. The Vampire Lord stumbled a little bit, and Rilgumskar threw up another Flame cloak spell, drew his sword, and charged it. It tried to swipe him away, but it recoiled when its hand hit the fire swirling around him, and he cut its hand off with a swipe of his sword. The Vampire Lord shrieked and viciously lunged at him, thrusting its head towards him and piercing his shoulder with its razor-sheep teeth before it drew its head back to avoid the flames. Rilgumskar's injured shoulder spluttered with blood, and some of the snow by his feet turned red.

"GAH!" he yelled with pain. The Vampire Lord took the opportunity to use its good arm to swipe him ten feet down the path. A trail of blood marked how far he had flown, and the Vampire Lord's hand began to glow with blood-red magic. Rilgumskar, injured and down, couldn't dodge the magical projectile, and was lifted into the air. As he was slowly pulled towards the Vampire, he felt the life being sucked out of him, his power weakening with every inch. He tried to shoot it with a fireball, but the magical grip tightened, essentially paralyzing him.

"Waldo..... Help......" He rasped. He didn't have long before he was dead and the Vampire Lord was once again at full power. Already, he saw burns healing, the stump of its hand regenerating......

Sara rushes through the hallways and told the court mage to send word to Death Squad 13. He looks surprised, but sends the appropriate scroll.

Tina, the head of squad 13 receives a scroll in a flash of fire. She knows that it is the orders to move by the writing on the outside, and calls the 30 necromancers under her command to order. They leave the tower they were stationed in, and were travelling towards Markarth, and see two people being attacked by a vampire lord. "All right, troops! You know the drill! FIRE Spells at the ready! Cast at will!" She herself favored Ice, like Cyrus and shoots a 6 foot long Icy Spear at the Vampire.

Waldo was shocked at the power of the vampire. It seemed to heal its wounds as if it had boundless magic reserves. Rilgumskar cut off the hand of it but was bitten. It knocked him down and drew his strength with the red magic. For lack of a better idea, Waldo took Vuthoen and bellowed a magnificent warcry as he ran and knocked the lord aside. Although floating, the creature was pushed some feet away and appeared to be dazed. The magic sapping his companion was severed and billowed into the air. He then swung at the vampire lords neck, and chest, again and again, trying to hinder it somehow. Just as Waldo struck the beast in the sternum, it wailed in pain.

Waldo thought he had broken something in it's chest, but out of the corner of his eye he saw a group of magi. The lead mage shouted to the others to attack at will. The leader his or herself (Waldo couldn't tell) was barraging the vampire in the back with spears of pure ice. As the vampire lord yelled more, Waldo took an ice spear that had missed, and shoved it into the vampires throat. It pierced the pale skin of the creature and it ceased to scream, but was still alive. As Waldo did so, the mages began to all fire, turning the vampire lord into a pincushion. Waldo, with a few last bouts of strength, and adrenaline lifted the beast up and slammed it down onto its back. All of the spears that were lodged back there went fully through, making quite a gory scene. The vampire lord lay motionless, although Waldo doubted the creature was really dead, probably just waiting for us to leave so it could hightail it back to whatever cave it came out of.

Rilgumskar was almost unconcious when suddenly the magical grip on him loosened, and then disappeared altogether. He dropped into the snow, and the feeling of freezing cold snow on his face was enough to wake him up just a little bit. He looked up at the Vampire Lord, expecting to find it eviscerating Waldo, but instead saw it being blasted over and over by fireballs, and it seemed to have an ice spike stuck in its stomach. He had absolutely no idea what was going on, unless Waldo had transformed into the Arch-Mage of Winterhold. Taking his eyes off the Vampire Lord, who was having his healed injuries rapidly replaced, Rilgumskar looked at his shoulder. It wasn't a pretty sight. The Vampire's teeth had gone right through the thin metal plate that he used to protect his shoulders, and made a deep injury that would take Rilgumskar a while to heal, even with his adept-level restoration spells. The metal plate sitting overtop his layered clothing was splattered with blood.... his blood, and the material around the injury would be stained for quite a while. On top of everything else, the spell that the Vampire lord had used on him had drained almost all of the energy from his being; his magicka reserves, his physical stamina, even his life force. He prepared a healing spell in his hand, but he couldn't even find the energy to do a channeled spell, which was the least taxing restoration spell he knew. He continued to try and heal himself, but the magic in his hand kept flickering and dimming, like a torch about to go out. He realised that it would take him a while to regain his energies, and that the efforts he was putting into attempting to heal the wound were about to make him black out. He gave up the attempts to heal himself, and instead grasped for his sword with the now-free hand (moving the other one would be like shooting yourself in the foot with a bow.) and found it. He held onto it, knowing that at least he would pass out armed, and then he felt himself slip into unconsiousness. Edited by Flipout6

Tina walks forward toward the two. She sees one pass out, and orders some mages to look after him. She walks over to the vampire lord, and shoots fireballs at it's face, hoping to kill the thing. She stops after a few and says "I am Tina Harper, but you can call me Tina. I am the head of Death Squad 13. Are you two all right? My men will sort you out, and if you would like, we can escort you to Markarth, which is where we are heading already. Going in with us, you should be fine, they will assume you have your passes."

As the vampire lord lay there, Waldo saw Rilgumskar woke up from unconsciousness and was attempting to heal a wound to his shoulder. However, he looked stronger than he actually was. He passed back out a few minutes later. The mages that had helped them came over to help Rilgumskar. Their leader, who was female came up to Waldo and told him her name was Tina Harper, part of death squad 13. What a peculiar name.. Waldo thought to himself. She them asked if the two of them wanted free passage to Markarth. "Ah, Markarth. That is the very place we were traveling to. I thank you for your offer and accept on behalf of my friend here and myself" Waldo told her. She seemed like a dark woman, although a free ride into Markarth would be the advantage of both of them. Waldo was worried about Rilgumskar. The vampire had done considerable damage to his shoulder. However the mages seemed to be healing it fine. Waldo was also wondering who this death squad 13 was an what they where for. Perhaps an elite assassin group in the service of a person of power. Maybe the count. All of this was sudden, and Waldo needed time to sort out it all. For now he decided to keep to himself and let the mages bring him to his goal.

Several of the mages use Telekinesis spells to move the injured man off the ground. one grabs his weapon to keep it from being left behind, and the two members who were masters at healing walk over and start using their spells. One pours potions of Cure Disease over the wound, and into the injured man's mouth so he will not turn into a vampire. Tina notes the look of confusion and says "I take it you do not know of us? As I have stated, I am Tina Harper, Head of Death Squad 13. We are the best of the best necromancers in the kingdom of Markarth, other than Lord Cyrus Belafonte himself, of course. He has beaten each and every one of us, at the same time. He knows magic that we would take years to master. However, that is not what is at hand here. I will help you get to Markarth, but we are walking, as it is only an hour away. We should be there before long. We are finished working on your friend, by the way. He will need to rest when you get to Markarth. Take him to the Silver Blood Inn." Tina nods briskly at the warrior, shoots a final fireball at the Vampire Lord, and starts walking northwest.

Rilgumskar didn't seem to stir so for the time he slung him over his back and picked up Vuthoen in his right hand. Wordless, Waldo followed the woman and the rest of the squad. When Tina said they where necromancers in service to the count, Waldo had guessed right. It took all of his resolve not to kill them. His rage for necromancers had only subsided a little during the years following his families death. Now was not an exception. Waldo knew he wouldn't gain from this though, and so he kept himself from unleashing his anger.

Selene meant what she said, and as she turned to walk, Sara crawled onto Cyrus's lap, Selene walked back over, grasping the small elven woman by the throat, and holding her up, bearing her pointed and lethal fangs "Perhaps you didn't hear me? He is my love, not yours. Are we clear? or do i need make it more so?"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Iodiria's eyes fixed on the staff, and she sighed, walking very quickly down the hall, so she could speak to the Overlord, she once again spoke in the dragon language, and said "Great overlord! I must humbly request the staff you mean to possess."

"Aam?" The draugr overlord said, then looked at the staff and then at Iodiria "Nid Fahliil, Krosis, Ni Hin Zun (No elf , Sorrow , not your weapon)"

Selene nodded in agreement and said "I accept the terms you propose... but i can't stop you from sating your lust with a harlot of servant girl... just don't love them... for we cannot be by eachothers side always... Now before i get all emotional and start crying blood tears, let us get moving my lord."

----------------------

Iodiria rolled her eyes, and looked at the overlord, she spoke firmly in draconic, and said "Your lord VulViingKonharik has permitted that i retrieve the staff... do not anger me, for it shall anger him."
