What's your right to judge someone's hard-working efforts as &

Ask yourself, did you always give vote and comment after you download a mod and enjoy it a lot? Or did you only gave the comments when you want to ask questions or complain?

Especially for those newbies, are you sure that you read the whole readme and FAQ and ask the modder to identify the problem you got before you give him/her a bad vote as 1~5?

And for those who like to call modders "sucker" when they can't get the mod working. Oblivion has a mod limit of 250. So you will get crash if you install mods more than 250. Did you know that before you vote and call someone a sucker?????? Did you know how much time he/she spent to get the "SUCK MOD" done before you vote him/her SUCKER!

Or you just get angry like a child before you can talk like an adult???

I am a modder. And I really getting tired to answer the same question again and again and again even when there is a FAQ and README to get almost all the answers of common questions. there were always many votings as 10 before someone finally call a modder "sucker". Are they suckers, too???

Why can't you simply ask yourself, when you get the CTD that others didn't, is that their problem, or just your problem??? I know the sadly fact is everyone loves to play oblivion with mod but most of them just want to play without share, even vote and good comments. The downloads number is always much more than comments (always close to 1000:1). But when problems show up, somebody just get mad and shout at us modders like lions or keep "pleasssssssssse" us like beggars until some of us finally get mad, too.

Why can a person be descripted as "YOU SUCKER" just because he want to share something good to everybody when some others simply refuse to share???

What will Oblivion become when all the modders get angry and there's no mods any more??? Did modders of oblivion ever get a single coin from you for share their mods with you????? Why can't you just read the readme file and learn something basic before you keep bother someone about your CTD or something else???????

No more to say. I have played oblivion for over a year and I learned everything I need to know mostly by check the web pages instead of keep bother or ask others "how","why","what"....etc. Can't those newbies do the same thing before they finally call someone a "SUCKER"???????

Offense to no one. Just complain, as a modder myself...

I can sympathise but to be honest it's something that happens in real life. There are those for whom any error or difficulty or petty irritation has got to be someone else's fault, even when it is patently obvious that it is not. There's no persuading or convincing them. Even hard evidence will be shrugged off as you misunderstanding the point. I remember a friend who brought a new electrical device (a mobile phone rechanger IIRC) and asked if he could use it. We plugged it into my electrical socket and nothing happened. He went ballistic about the rubbish sold in the shops, how useless everyone was. When I pointed out that the socket was operated by a remote switch and I hadn't yet turned it on the reply was (words to the effect) 'That's not the point, half the stuff you buy today won't work, or breaks down almost immediately etc. etc.'. For all I know the latter point is true, what I found so amusing was the comment 'that's not the point'.

I attend a writing group where work is critiqued by the audience. Some people seem to have to be heard even when they have nothing to say. Some always go for the negative. Some haven't paid attention or worse came in late and complain about things they would know about if the'd been there at the start.

You won't change the way people are. Best to learn to ignore most of the stuff aimed at you. You'll soon discover there are a few people whose comments you can trust. Always be open to constructive criticism and pity those who are simply destructive.

Moderators do weed out those who overstep the mark when they can.

Better chill out than end up with apoplexy!

"Why" That's the word a person uses when he wants someone else to explain the reasons for something to him. This in fact often means that the person is not willing to find the reason himself.

Why doesn't it work? There are miriades of reasons. Why do people keep asking such things? Because they're either narcists that feel that everyone has to do their bidding / feel that they're "special" - better than anyone else, or because they're flat out stupid.

If they're narcists, then they need to be proven wrong, if they're better than anyone else then they shold be in the position to find out themselves, and if they're simply dumb then no amount of explaining can solve their problem. So yes, Why? Why bother?

Children will always be children,no matter what their phyical age. Ignor comments that are rude, for its what children do best. Those that make stupid or obnoxious comments are mad about something they don't want to face about themselves, so they lash out at others to make themselves feel good.

Words only hurt, if you allow them to hurt!

i have to agree with dezi and hats posts we got no right to judge people for hard work and hours they put into mods when they could be doing something else

people who rate things 1 are just well pathfetic ( wrong spelling) it really doesnt help the modder who made the mod make improvements or fix a probelm if things like that happains

but going on about what dezi says its a sort of bullying and shoudlnt be here really

People are going to make judgements on things, no matter what. This is human nature. Not all judgements have to be negative afterall. You can either let it all bother you, or you can use the little bits of good (as in quality and truthiness) feedback to learn what parts of your work you still need to do. Modding afterall is an art. Like all arts, it has its share of critics, and there is little objective criteria to determine a good mod from a bad mod.

Both of those negative comments and the associated ratings are under review. Interestingly, they both seem to originate from the same place. Please remember that the moderators can't see every post as soon as it hits the board. We rely on members to report them.

I left these in place to allow enough time for our resident IP expert to check them out. They probably won't be up much longer.

Thanks to the moderator and all the friends here who encourage me when I was feeling down.

If what you said was true, can those votes be removed for good after they are investigated?

That seems unfairly harsh. Firstly, there's the element of laziness in asking. If the solutions can't be found with a token amount of digging, (Which is sadly limited essentially to the rest of the comments page, readme, FAQ, etc for those who don't know anything about the CS) it's logical to assume it would take vastly less effort for the modder to answer than to find the likely problem by some other means. Then you have stupidity in finding ways to learn things, but can learn quite effectively when told. And when the bug is the mod's problem, "This problem happens when I do this" can be all one can ask for.

I'm not trying to justify the comments in question at all, don't get me wrong. That was just way too general for my tastes.
