deebingo
I apologize if this has already been done before in an existing mod. I thought a good way to make looting a bit more profitable (not necessarily monetarily, but increase the value of junk) by allowing for said loot to be recycled into raw crafting materials. To prevent it from being overpowered there could be recipes or maybe a minimum number of like pieces smelted together to produce a relevant ingot. For example, say 2 pieces of iron armor (helmet, sword, boots, etc.) thrown into the smelter produce 1 iron ingot. Leather and hide armors could also be reversed into leather or leather strips as well. Merchants don't always have the right crafting materials that you need when you need them and i think this would make looting more effective if you could recycle them for crafting materials instead of just throwing everything away or selling them for a measly amount of gold.
