Dan3345
My Kindle broke, and I wanted to buy a kindle 3g at first, then I saw the Kindle fire wasn't much more. Problem for me is this, it has very little internal memory, and no way to add more. It has no 3G, though this I can understand as it isn't just an ereader. I am not too huge on apps and games on my mobile devices, I have a few on my iphone but I don't play them much. The only thing I would want it for is reading, and watching videos, and maybe listening to music. So my question then is to those who have it - - If you turn off wifi and just read your books how long does the battery last? I know it says on amazon it lasts for 8 hours but many mobile device sellers are notorious for exaggerating these battery lifetime numbers. If they aren't exaggerating then they must be getting their numbers in lab conditions. How many apps are there? I know I said they aren't that important to me but I still like to have choices and such. : / Do you find that the small internal memory is restrictive? The nice thing about the kindle fire is how inexpensive it is compared to an overpriced Ipad, but even so, if it doesn't have the memory storage then what is the point?
