Are you having constant exterior CTDs? I've FINALLY found your sol

@Meeporized it might have something to do with the mesh used for the tree, I've had lots of crashes caused by meshes. Try renaming the trees folder in your meshes folder (Data\Meshes\Landscape\trees(or just the landscape folder as a whole))and see if that works. Also, if you used a compressor tool on your meshes that can cause crashes.

Okay i just got home so ill instantly try it out and err compressor tool? =O dont think i used something like that.....

Edit1:

Well i just looked into that folder and yea theres no Trees folder but instead a Rock folder and i remember installing "Benjamin318s RRM" thingy but anyways i renamed the whole landscape folder tried it; crash. Turned the mod off same outcome.

But it was worth a try at least also i'm not sure if its the tree stomp rather something else wich i cannot figure out.

I had a CTD earlier as soon as you first "touch" Alduin when he lands on the Wall and the Guard calls out to you "stick to the walls" and if i would stand to close it created a CTD but if i stood far away it did not crash. Right after exiting the "Tutorial Cave" Alduin flys past you in the sky towards Bleak Falls there is this sort of earthshake as he passes you wich led to another CTD.

I always could reproduce that error.

I thought the culprit there was Automatic Variants because as soon as i turned it off this kind of error did not happen again but now i am not so sure about it anymore. =D

EDIT2:

Okay i found the "culprit" even tho its not really that bad..... i really thought the whole friggin day about it and after i read what you suggested i thought why cant it be something completely different so well it was pure luck that my first mod i turned off in my loadorder

So as you see in the Spoiler i figured it out thanks to your small push into the right direction.

The only problem i still have is that im not so sure about Automatic Variants if the error came from ELFX + RLO or if it was a conflict of all? Might need some more testing...... tomorrow or so now im gonna play some Skyrim since i sat there from 11pm till 4 am trying to figure out what was causing that stupid CTD without beeing able to get some "Steam" off heh :P

Hey.

I'm having a problem with CTDs. First it crashed few seconds after I entered Solitude, then when I tried to load the game (the save is in Solitude itself, I've trained myself to spam F5 every two minutes) it crashed again.

Now, I'm quite a mod-lover, so it's basically fault of some of them, probably T.A.V.E. Solitude, or (less likely) Perfect Legionnaire mod but I need to be sure (as I said, I luv my mods, and It's hard for me to say bye to them).

Now I've reorganised the loading order with BOSS and made Papyrus log file, but as I'm an complete idiot, can't still read it (even with all those tutorials).

Here it is:

I would also like to throw my log into the mix here.

My CTDs tend to happen mostly when I'm out in the exterior; mainly in any heavily forested areas around Riften, Riverwood, and Falkreath. Random, out-of-nowhere CTDs. I'm in one particular spot right now kind of between Riverwood and Helgen that continually CTDs at the same spot.

Here's my log:

I have uninstalled through NMM my only dragon affecting mods that I know of: Dragons Diversified and Dragon Combat Overhaul. Is any kind of 'scrubbing' I need to do with my save file to get rid of this script issue?

Any help is appreciated!

Edit 07/12/2013: This information below only applies when you have issues with WETriggerScript in Skyrim. This is caused by a duplicate of Skyrim.esm in the file Plugins.txt. So if you don't have this specific issue - this will not help you one little bit.

So, followed this whole post, since I also had the same errors.... did EVERYTHING from clean install to deactivating stuff and whatnot, nothing helped.

Eventually I found a youtube video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO6JAFioJ6U )

Open Explorer and type

%appdata% hit enter, or go to C:\Users\-yourname-\AppData\Local\Skyrim

modify your plugin list, plugins.ini

delete update.esm and if there are 2 skyrim.esm, delete one.

So there will be one skyrim.esm and no update.esm. If there isn't a plugin.ini you must create one and paste the plugin.txt contents.

Save and enjoy

"

I had no ini there, created on, copied the plugins.txt there... ran game, tested, ALL CTD's GONE.

Just the ini doesn't auto update load orders and so on, you need to do that manually each time you change something.

Since that time I had zero CTD's running well over 100 mods (textures and animations)

I hope this helps.
