destiny162 Posted October 3, 2018 Share Posted October 3, 2018 Hello everyone.I am having an issue with my Skyrim Special Edition here.Everytime I click new game the game loads for 1-2 seconds and it ctd in the loading screen.I dont have any mods atm.I had some but I did a fresh reinstall ( Actually 2 maybe 3 fresh reinstalls ).I tried verifying game flies and it didnt work.I cant get past the first loading screen.If anybody knows a fix or two I would appreciate it.Thanks in advance!( Game file location is not in Program Files.My skyrim SE is installed in C:Games/SteamLibrary2/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition ) My PC Specs:GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 TI LP 4GBCPU : Intel Core i5 4590 3.30 GhzRAM : 8GB DDR3Operating System : Windows 10 Pro Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Possible solutions: - Update your drivers (especially graphics drivers), if you haven't already. Also don't use ENB or Reshade for the moment. Make sure you got no overlays (Steam, Nvidia, whatever) runnning while playing the game. - If everything else fails, you will have to go the long and painful route of a complete reinstall. Maybe there are still leftover files from previous mod installs, that cause the crashes. To be safe, delete everything that may not be from Bethesda in your Skyrim SE folder. Especially the whole "Data" folder and any loose files, that aren't clearly game files. Also delete any other subfolders, if there are. Now verify game cache again. - If partially deleting stuff in your game folder won't help, delete the content of the whole Skyrim SE folder and redwonload the game from Stean. Hope you get that issue solved.Thank you for your help.I actually solved this problem.I did yet another fresh reinstall.Opening the game from steam now doesnt crash , its stable.I have another problem though.I donwloaded SKSE64 ( put the .dll and the loader files in my game folder and added the scripts to my MO2 as a mod and now it started CTD again.I have 2 mods only The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch and Alternate Start - Live Another Life.Every time I choose the option ' i want to escape this cell' and try going outside to 'Skyrim' it loads for a second then it CTD.I tried another option the 'I am an outlaw in the wilds' and still loads for a second then crashes.If you know a fix for this problem please tell me I would appreciate it.Thanks in advance!
