hi guys, i have a serious problem with my new upcoming mod, i tried to attach some accessories to the belt of the armor, in particualr i tried to add two skulls to the belt, i copied the weight from the skirt of the armor and parented the skulls with the armature, however in game i experienced a bad deformation of the mesh both on pants and on skulls i've just attached to the armor, does nyone know how to fix this? please help me cause this issue is making me crazy, i've tried to copy the weights from other part of the armor but nothing happened. i really don't want to manually paint the weights because i've never did it (this is my second work in blender) and i can possibly make a big mess.

here is the screenshot of what i've experienced in game.deformation problem

thank you in advance for the help!

ps sorry for my english

I am not sure, but I can take a guess here. I believe it's the rigging. Meaning you have attached the skulls, but they are not rigged correctly, so they get deformed after the skeleton.

A fix would be to rig it to the skeleton, and see if it helps.

Other than that you will probably have to weight paint it ever so slightly, or re-rig the whole thing.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

"Rigging" refers to in this case parenting the mesh to an armature and giving it vertex weights corresponding to the bones you want to affect it. You did it, but there's more to it than just waving the magic wand/script.

Copy Bone Weights is a useful shortcut script, but it can't do all the work for you. Have a look for a tutorial on weight painting; it can be tedious work but... well, it builds character.
