BoromiRofGeo
Does anyone has technical explanation of this? And why method provided in video works? After struggling with those "jitters" for many days, putting the game to borderless windowed is the only fix that legit works for me.I've heard simmilar issues with other Gamebryo engines games in the past, but personally this is the first time i've encountered one. To my humble knowledge, this is something related to how vsync behaves. I've read about other "fixes", but none except borderless windows helps. I've tried disabling presentInterval (vsync) in .ini and enabling vsync from Nvidia Control panel as well as limiting frame rame to either 58 or 60. Unfortunately this yeilded not much results. Some people also suggest disabling controller in options, but i've tried that - doesn't help, also, some people (like yours truly) play with controller, so this method is not a cure to problem at all.ifpsclamp 60 creates more problems so i'd rather not use it in GameBryo games at all.Another thing that i'd mention is that while borderless fullscreen does seem to fix stutters and related to it vsync problems, is that for me personally, it uses by about 20% more resources (which by extension means lowers fps in some cases). So naturally, i'm interested in finding better solution.
dikr
Yeah, full frame windowed sure helps. Also keeping an eye on which mods you use. Stuff that breaks a lot of precombined meshes can make walking through Boston a slideshow. Since I discovered Another Green Mod and uninstalled Regrowth my performance has also increased dramatically, to give an example. Actually feels weird NOT to lag in Boston now  Edited October 6, 2018 by dikr

Actually feels weird NOT to lag in Boston now :smile:we're not talking about classical performance related issue here (i.e the one that lowers fps and introduces stutters/jitters).issue here is that even on vanilla fallout, some users (including myself) experience weird jitters even when staying at constant 60 fps mark. watch video for more.as a sidenote, im on i7 4k 8gb ddr3 gtx1070 and these specific kind of jitters are occurring in my game ONLY when playing with vsync on/fullscreen.i've measured everything with benchmarks and monitoring tools. average CPU load is 30%, GPU load 70% and out of 8gb video memory f4 uses just 1.7 gb. This is not related to hardware not being able to handle "graphical features" or anything. This is specifically issue with vsync in fullscreen mode. Zzyxzz
Try a mod which reduces walk/run speed. For ex. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25495This should help quite a bit. Make sure you use windowed fullscreen and disable fallout4s vsync and use nvidias. Also make sure to enable pre rendered frames 1 or 2. There is a mouse config setting, but i cant remember. Have to look it up when im back from work.
