ArchangelSlatanic has received a formal warning. This user has now received 1 formal warnings. The warning was given for the following reason:

 

Upload of a mod containing 56 pieces of music in a length between 01:06 and 13:39 minutes and 3 music sound files in a length of 10 seconds (performing the same sound track) without (providing) the original artists‘/right holders‘ permissions for use and redistribution.

 

Requesting to be asked for permission („Asset use permission“ in „Permissions and credits“ on the mod page) for further use of any of the assets in the file (music by other artists) without (providing) the the original artists‘/right holders‘ corresponding permissions/sub licences.

 

The original artists/right holders have not even been credited.

Availability of others’ work for free download and personal use does not mean that

• the original artists‘/right holders‘ have no right to control the usage of their work,

• the original artists‘/right holders‘ have tacitly given permission for redistribution of

their work or

• the original artists‘/right holders‘ permissions can tacitly be taken for granted.

 

If the original artists/right holders have not provided any notes regarding permission for use and redistribution of their work you should assume that you need the original artists‘/right holders‘ explicit permissions in advance – before use and redistribution of their work on Nexus.

Proper permissions must be obtained and be available to review for all submitted content.
