snawrlax
Hi guys. I just fully moded my SkyrimSE and i'm very happy with it. I have 168 mods installed, mostly textures and i run a GTX 1080 8GB.I get 80 fps max in some areas, but other i drop to 40, like outside Whiterun. My computer is brand new, so i just installed SKyrim and modded it.My question is: Is there a way to increase a bit the performance, like ENBoost for Oldrim? Thanks in advance. talen55
Do you have the unofficial SE patch? It helps with bugs and some performance issues, also try the most recent enb seires. Could also try project optimition. Edit: linking Edited October 7, 2018 by talen55
jones177
Hi Frame rate drops are usually CPU. Not GPU. Use Skyrim Performance Monitor to check. To give you an example I have used 4 CPUs since the game came out. i7 2600k = drops into the 30si7 6700k = drops into the 40si7 8700k = drops into the 50s with jk's skyrimi7 8086k = drops into the 60s It took a i7 8086k to overcome jk's skyrim hit outside of Whiterun. ENB for Skyrim uses the program enbhost.exe to manage vram. Skyrim SE is 64bit so ENB no longer uses an executable. My Skyrim game will not run without ENB/ENBoost but my Skyrim SE game does not need it. With a GTX 1080 Skyrim with ENB & Skyrim SE with ENB/Reshade can run over 60fps most of the time at 2560 X 1440 or 3440 X 1440. Poor performance outside of Whiterun was a problem for me from 2011 to the end of 2017. It took brute(CPU) force the fix it. Later

(4.25Ghz Turbo)Have in mind that i didn't tweak nothing at all, not even NVIDIA settings or ENB files. I just installed mods, nothing performance wise. I just don't know how to tweak with ENB.
