Deleted7982701User
I have this weird visual problem that is most noticeable in Windhelm. There are these weird diagonal ascending lines that run up some of the walls. Any idea what might cause the trouble or is it "normal"? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/32265 Edited October 7, 2018 by Guest
Algabar
That's Bethesda's idea of snow covered walls... Yep, they really look that way... It's some sort of shader, that is applied above the actual wall textures. And yeah, it looks really bad - especially in snowy Windhelm. Unfortunately, there's no easy fix. You can go into the Creation Kir and search for wall parts in Windhelm. You're looking for the meshes in /architecture/Windhelm. Then you can open these meshes in the CK. Somewhere there's an option to remove that snow shader. If I remember right, it is some drop down menu. Sorry, been a while since I did that and I don't remember exactly, what I did. Basically I disabled that "snow shader" on the walls, where I found it most offending, and saved these changes to a small .esp file. Downside is that there's no more snow at all on some walls.
