adman85
Can someone reduce or remove the movement speed penalty that applies when aiming in iron sight? How exactly do you move soooo much slower when holding a pistol at eye level then you do when holding a gun aimed at hip level? I can hold things at shoulder level and move at the speed I normally could in reality, it may make sense for sniping, looking through a scope accurately requires you not to be moving, but in the vanilla game, scopes slow you down as much as holding a pistol at eye level, and moving while looking through a scope doesnt affect your accuracy at all. (what crazy logic enabled this to happen!?) I find myself shooting from the hip 90% of the time with deadly head popping accuracy, and I don't use iron sights because, well, why would i want to walk in slow motion during combat, when I can shoot from the hip just as accurately and run around unimpeded at the same time? The whole thing really makes ironsights a waste of time in my opinion, I just never end up using it to aim (with the exception of scopes). It would be perfect if looking through a scope slowed the PC down massively (or made him/her immobile), and/or if looking through ironsights while crouching slows the PC reasonably (to represent taking an aimed shot) just not while standing and aiming, (think of cops or SWAT breaching a building with armed threats, they RUN with guns at eye level, but crouch and slow down when they need to be accurate or take cover). Nihilisaurus
They don't aim down the sights, their default pose is with the weapon ready to the shoulder and slightly lowered to not obscure their vision rather than at the hip braced to fire. Before they fire at anything beyond about a dozen meters they raise their weapons to eye level and aim. When they advance with their eyes to the sights they do move much slower and when they fire generally unless it's at close range they stop. Also, you don't shoot as accurately without ironsighting, it's just most of the default game's combat takes place at ranges where it doesn't matter or you're ridiculously lucky/you still have the auto-aim operating (requires a mod to disable it in order to fix long range sniping, was much worse in FO3).
