TheGadget1945
So I decide to play the jerk and inform the BoS about Acadia. I meet Knight Captain Larsen and simply OK the attack and he replies "We'll meet you there".Acadia has disappeared off my map but I go there and the BoS NEVER SHOW UP !I have to slaughter the synths myself then I have to meet Larsen where I originally met him. Thanks a lot buddy !
StarMystyk
I think it's a bug as there's a mod that fixes that. I had a similar issue but he decided he wanted to walk to Acadia.I didn't know I needed the mod until I read what it fixes. That guy is supposed to take a vertibird to Acadia (while you find your own way) then all together you storm the place. In all my playthroughs I never saw a vertibird and just assumed that was normal. After using the fix mod everything happened as it was supposed to.Just looked for the mod and its been deleted. That's annoying. It was called Far Harbor Brotherhood Search and Destroy Fix.Edit: He deleted all his mods and quit, closing his account. Oh well. TheGadget1945
Thanks for the replies, how it actually panned out was that after about 3 game days Larsen showed up at Acadia and talked to me and the mission completed then an unnamed BoS Knight + Vertibird + 2 BoS goons showed up at the original place I was to meet Larsen. Nobody in Far Harbor appears to know about Acadia and Brooks is alive and well. When I went back to the Commonwealth and informed Ellie, the quest to explore Kelloggs memories will not start and Dr Amari wishes me good luck with the Signal Interceptor even though I have not met Virgil yet. So basically I am in a world of hurt. Also it appears I have completed the Mariner storyline despite only having acquired the power tools for her and never having gone to the MS Azalea. THJT9
This quest is extremely buggy, so I will explain the issues and reasons for them for anyone who is interested in knowing why this happens-Bethesda clearly never actually tested this quest even once...So the first issue is to do with the way the quest sets its stages. Once you give the order, the Assault team is meant to board the Vertibird and for it to take off. If you leave the cell however-be it fast travel or normally, as in any other event, the game stops running all actions you are no there to witness. This means they stop getting on the Vertibird and sit there waiting for you to be in the cell. Then when the mission is complete, they are scripted to return to the staging area-giving the impression they never actually did anything. This part can take a few minutes to occur as well due to ai issues of deciding who gets on the Vertibird first which adds to the time problem of players walking out of the cell. Now assuming a player witnessed the Veribird take off, they would see issue 2. Vertibirds appear change their collision when they are in the air. This requires all actors in them to be locked into place when this occurs and during the journey period until it is time to disembark. Bethesda only did this for Larsen and the Pilot, so the other members drop through the vertibird to the ground. They then proceed to try to walk to Acadia while Larsen flies in the vertibird. We now have 2 groups, 1 on foot, 1 by air. Unlike a lot of quests, the NPC's aren't made to teleport to catch up with the player. The vertibird therefore flies to acadia (being the exception to the rule of the game stopping actions the player isn't around to see-his extends to NPC's along the way too). Unlike the BoS NPCs, it isn't tagged as essential-so the moment it his a raider encampment it starts a fight, gets blown up, and Larsen is stuck in a fight on the ground. Meanwhile the Ground team is also actively moving across the map in real time. Very slowly and possibly also getting into fights along the way. Should the player then complete the quest before they arrive, as mentioned before, they turn right around and walk back to the staging area.My mod that was mentioned above fixes these issues (bar the first one) so provided the player sees them take off and has my mod on, they WILL appear for the fight. There are also a whole bunch of other issues with this quest relating to the Brotherhood arriving at the fight, but none that prevent them actually reaching Acadia in the first place so I won't go into those here. Most of those are fixed as well though, and those that aren't are being worked on.

I've read some of your previous posts over the past year or so, and you seem to have all sorts of issues with quests in your game  I only have that sort of bad luck in Skyrim with things not happening as they should. I think you would probably find that most people who have posted here for a couple of years have experienced major issues with the game. My latest one was that I went to see Virgil and he was invisible. I looked it up and found a Youtube video which showed how to correct this. Its the great thing that video games have a community which helps each other out for free.
