WHITELION1284
Apologies for creating a thread to ask this question. My google-fu is weak today and I can't find the wiki I was looking for. I used to deny steam's auto-updates by modifying my windows hosts file but I can't remember how to do it nor can I find the wiki page that explains how.Can anyone point me in the right direction?Thank you. Algabar
Maybe you've blocked Steam from accessing the Internet. Can be done through a firewall - the built in "WIndows Defender" or whatever you're using. I wouldn't recommend this though. You can set Skyrim SE in your Steam library to "update only when the game is started" or something like that and then start the game with the SKSE launcher every time.If you want to be ultra-safe, do what I did an set Steam to "offline-mode". The option is in the "Community" tab.
