dimondtrident
So i have for the better part of a hour looking for any sort of guides to modding and i only find ones that teach you how to download mods not make them. So if anyone knows any links or any thing like that to help with making a player home type mod, thanks in advance.
thumbincubation
https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Getting_Started This is the first one I ever read. It helped get me set up and going. There's a link to the tutorials hub, for more job-specific tutorials. (Creating a level will probably be of help) There's also a search bar, for tutorials and/or discussions, which aren't in the main list. If you prefer videos, there are quite a few well-known tutorials makers on youtube. I watch a lot of darkfox127's videos on home construction, but I will also search the general topic terms in youtube, to see who else has made a pertinent tutorial. Here's part one of his home series. Here are a couple of the others.

thumbincubation
You're very welcome. I hope it helps. I should note the CK is a bit crash happy, both in the original Skyrim and the Skyrim SE versions. If you look through this forum, there are a few tips to help, including adding a line to the ini, to disable audio. There's also a mod which offers several helpful fixes. One very helpful tip, when you're working in/around structures or worldspace objects. If you select something with the mouse, press 1 twice, and it will disappear. It's not gone, will still show up in game, but it is rendered invisible in CK, so you can work without accidentally selecting it again. If it's still selected, pressing 1 a third time will bring it back. If not, press ALT and 1, and all hidden items will return, or you can press f5 to refresh the scene. This is very handy for getting trees, ceilings, light sources, etc., out of the way, so you can work.
artemissrose
I feel like I learned all that I know from watching darkfox127 and T.A.P Gaming tutorials on youtube that and periodically getting help from the great folks on the nexus forums. But I would recommend those two channels because they give detailed descriptions and easy to follow tutorials. Also side note but I just responded to a post about the crash happy CK and what I did to fix it. Think the post was titled Crashing CK posted recently like Oct 6th, 2018 I think should check that out too. here I quit being lazy and found the link lol :laugh:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7048161-crashing-ck/ Happy Modding
ben446
Just another author of tutorials that go along with darkfox127 is bestinslot. both of these two produce top quality tutorials and they have taught me everything I know or have given me enough information about the ck to allow me to feel confident enough to experiement . I would also suggest going to the oldrim section of this site and search for project modularity there in the download section you can download some script that were created by darkfox 127. I found writing scripts are the hardest things to do, darkfox127 will talk you through the scripts so you can understand what they do within his tutorials. he is the reason I can read a script - still cant write one but I can read one
NexBeth
http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/6838-ck-basics-lesson-1/&hl=basics&do=findComment&comment=108126 This is where I started and it was absolutely invaluable. Take the whole 4 part course and read everything, including comments and extra credit stuff. As mentioned above, Darkfox has many tutorials that will get you way in to the learning process: Check Creation Kit Tutorials vidshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtYB2iX9_52X_DNtSIJXyWghttps://www.darkfox127.co.uk/
