ObscuraNox Posted October 10, 2018 Share Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) Greetings everyone, I started playing the Special Edition a few days ago and was pleased to realize that it now supports SkyUi. Wanting to install that, among some other mods, I tried to install SKSE first. I followed the instructions in the readme.txt, so I put the two dll files and the .exe into the according skyrim special edition folder. I created a folder in the data folder called Scripts and put the according files in there too. I have literally zero other mods installed and even went as far as to delete my savegames so this is pretty much as clean as it can get without reinstalling my entire OS. It still crashes and Im starting to run out of ideas. I tried launching it using Mod Organizer, same thing. NMM wont even recognize that SKSE is installed. Im currently re-downloading the game witih Steam Cloud turned off and will then try to install the files as an archieve through Vortex instead of the Nexus Mod Manager, but if that doesnt work Im really all out of ideas. Any clue what could be the issue? I also turned off steam overlay, afterburner and any other overlays that Im aware of, except maybe shadowplay...Just remembered this as Im typing this, but still...nothing. Edit: Forgot to mention, my OS is Windows 7 if thats important. Edit 2: The Download finished and I tried it again, doing everything in this tutorial: Nothing. Black Screen, then crash to desktop. Im about to give up. Edit 3: I managed to fix it! I did in fact install everything correctly, the culprit was the RivaTuner Overlay. Once I deactivated that it started working.
