CTD when loading a save or starting a new game

This started when I uninstalled Majestic mountains from my LO to fix a texture issue I was having, the game worked fine straight afterwards. Played for a bit, got off to do real life stuff, but then later on when starting the game up again this suddenly starts happening. CTD with no errors when loading ANY save or starting a new game.

I get I've been posting here a lot but new problems seem to just pop up one after the other. Thanks in advance

I looked at your load order. TBH, I didn't find anything obviously wrong. You got lots of complex mods installed, but if it worked before, that's probably not the point either.

Majestic Mountains changes a lot, adds new meshes and textures and so on. But the fact, that these are missing now, can't really explain CTDs. Normally the game doesn't crash because of missing meshes or textures...

So, this is strange indeed.Sorry for asking the obvious (like: "is the device plugged?"): Did the game update itself after you did your initial testing? Is SKSE working correctly? Are you running any overlays? Graphics card drivers, performance monitors, whatever. If so, turn them off.

CTDs on loading a save were a common issue some time ago and were often related to a problem with Racemenu. But since you don't have it...

Long story short: I don't really have an idea what could be wrong.

What you can try:

Try "SSE Engine fixes": https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230

There's also a similar and really great mod named "SSE fixes". Both are very well coded, SSE Engine fixes covers a bit more than the other mod does. So I'd prefer this mod ATM.

Try if this helps.

CTDs on starting a new game can be related to the intro at Helgen. Heavily scripted, plus a ton of mods initializing... Many things can go wrong in such a scenario.

Therefore, I'd at least temporarily install "Alternate Start": https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/272

Try, if you can start a new game this way.

Sorry, kinda out of my wits here...

I checked if SSE is working which it is, and then updated my version of SSE engine fixes, neither worked. Changed some settings that were recommended on the SSE engine fixes page, no dice there. Disabling my overlays didn't work either. I'm just as stumped as you are, but thanks for helping anyhow. I'm going to see if alternate start will help

EDIT: Nope, still crashes
