Editing Bow Values

I've been trying for a few days, on and off, to find a reason why the Bozak bow values won't change\. Trying to up the base damage because my friend doesn't like how disappointing it is considering how much work we both went through to get it (it was the same for me when I finally got the Last Wish, but changing that wasn't very hard at all). He'd like it if it was better than the common upgraded crossbow which just anyone gets just for playing the game.

 

Anyone know if up-ing the damage on bows even works? Especially the Bozak Bow?

 

I've changed this value just to see how it felt (knowing very well that the Legend bow skill exists), but it still shows in-game as 360.
