Help resolving problems with character overhaul

Greetings. so deciding to come back and do another modded playthrough this time alot more mods are being used than previously. and this time im doing everything via vortex to give it a try and see how things go. so far everything is going fine. i have conflicts with a couple of mods from YUP, real recoil, EVE, Book of flesh, ADAM reborn, roberts male body etc

 

but the core of my issues is coming from trying to get character overhaul to work. ive tried 5 varying attempts to get it working such as

 

1. Downloading 3.0 on its own and installing with glowing ghouls and higher hair textures, as well as having nothing selected in patches etc

 

2. Downloading 2.3 with Character redesign 3, still gave me the same conclusion of red exclamation marks.

 

3. 3.0 with 3.3 (spanish and english and All DLC fix) still gives me the same issues

 

4 & 5. is most just changing patch options from the options above besides 3 as details are specifically said not to install roberts male body patch.

 

it doesn't matter what i do. every time i start a new game im consistently meet with a red exclamation mark. anyone able to help me here as im honestly confused as all hell on how to proceed to fixing this issue. been stuck for days now!

I recommend you read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if it's been a while since your last attempt to mod FNV. (We've gathered a lot of "lessons learned" together over the last several years.) Especially see the 'Body Replacement Basics' and 'Common Game Problems' sections.

 

Then, please see the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. Also, the 'Issue: Body Replacer - Custom Body Types' and related 'Body Replacer -' entries in the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' section.

 

In addition the extensive FCO "comments" forum thread on the subject has the answers to pretty much every conceivable question. Use the forum "this topic" search function.

 

If that isn't sufficient, Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as if you are using the FNV4GB Patch, NVSE and it's related plugins, texture replacements (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX.
