No idea how to use Wrye Bash

I see a lot of people recommending the use of Wrye Bash to fix up problems like merchant lists and leveled lists, but I am really hesitant to use the utility because I have no idea how it works. Since I want to play on the safe side, I was hoping that I might get some advice on an ideal way to use it, based on which mods I use, as well as steps on how to best optimize using Wrye Bash.

 

I've attached my most recent BOSS log to this post; as you can see, I haven't bashed any mods together yet.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
