songofstars
Hey y'all. Sorry to bring up something that seems over-and-done-with for most people, but I've recently converted to SSE. I thought I would try using this LE Summer Overhaul in my playthrough, and it actually converted very nicely with the exception of some textures. They get very reflective and awful, as you can see here. I read that it's the normal maps that are messed up and followed this guide on how to fix them. Basically, load the normal into gimp, disable alpha layer for every layer (in which the preview box should turn black where there was no image, but this never happened for me), add an alpha layer to every layer, make all layers visible then merge them. I tried it but it did not work for me. Does anyone else have any advice besides deleting the normals? Thank you for your time! Algabar
Hmm... you said "disable alpha layer" and that it didn't look like in the video for you. In fact, you remove the alpha channel and then add a new (black) one. Maybe it's a problem of different options/commands? I just had a look at an "Oldrim" landscape texture in GIMP. Looks and works as it is shown in the video. Kinda out of my wits here....
songofstars
Really? It worked for you? I wrote disable but I meant remove, apologies. :x I did remove it but it never became black. I even tried it on another texture pack's _n.dds and it removed properly (though adding it back in did not...). I tried this so many times... If it worked for you, I have no idea where I'm going wrong.
