k0ni0ph0bia
Hey. New to the forums. I'll get straight to the problem. Script Dragon does not recognize any plugins when I load up Skyrim. In fact, I think that it may not even be running at all. I've installed everything exactly as they should be, dropping the dinput8.dll and scriptdragon.dll files in the root skyrim directory where the TESV.exe is located. Thing is, I'm completely baffled as to why it isn't working due to the fact that it worked just about week ago. I used to use skyboost before the later updates that fixed Skyrim's performance problems. I also use Thu'umic as well which was working flawlessly. Everything is also fully up to date. Skyrim is at version 1.6.89.0.6. Script dragon is updated to the current version that works with the newest game update. I also have SKSE, fully updated to the latest version and working fine. I've redownloaded and reinstalled script dragon, tried different directories to put mod .asi files and their corresponding .ini's other than the root folder. Nothing. Works. This problem arose back when I still had 1.5 not long ago, if that's of any help. I've loaded up skyrim through skse, through the launcher, etc. and Script Dragon just doesn't work anymore. I really wish I knew why everything just decided to give up for no apparent reason. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
k0ni0ph0bia
Can I please get a little help on this? I hate needing to bump the topic, but I really wish I could play with my mods again.
k0ni0ph0bia
Hello. Just like to say that I've fixed my problem. I'm really happy I finally got it to work.I'm not quite sure which of these was causing the problem but I'll list what I did, in case anyone else with my problem stumbles upon this in a search. 1. With the update, for whatever reason, I think my skyrimprefs.ini file was overwritten by the a default or something. In any case, I realized that some of my .esp mods weren't active. They're very specific so I didn't notice that symptom at first. So I had to re-add this line to the .ini: [Launcher]bEnableFileSelection=1 Reenabled some mods for me, but not sure if that's what fixed it. 2. In addition I also discovered that the scriptdragon.dll and dinput8.dll were "blocked" because they're from another computer while I was in their properties. I've unblocked that. 3. Lastly, I ran things as admin. Seems like an obvious thing to do. I've tried that previously, though, so I don't quite think that's what the problem was but you should do it anyway. I went to Alexander Blade's site in the comments in a desperate attempt to get help, and I did get a bit from Alexander, so I thank him for that. Cheers. Update: Sigh. Well it turns out that I lied. It worked for a few game launches and then it gave up again. It literally launches whenever it feels like it. And that's about 1 out of 200 repeated game launches. I finally managed to get a dragonscript.log but I'm not sure about this anymore. I'd love to get this working again but I think it just doesn't want me to. And I've tried everything.
