Where can I find freeside ambience download?

Hi I'm looking for the background crowd sound found in freeside but I can't find it for download anywhere.

Also if anyone knows where I can also get other sounds like the graveyard whispers that would help too.

I need it for a mod

Not clear as to just what you are looking for. "Ambience" is a category of sound effects which are snippets of sound files for "background" noises. They are all stored in the "Fallout - Sound.BSA" file under the "sound\fx\amb" folder. ("Songs" are another category.) But there isn't any "Freeside" ambience folder or category. The various snippets get re-used as appropriate in different locations, so depending upon where you are located in "Freeside" the appropriate sounds may be labeled "~uniques\thestrip_walla_day" or "~regions\pitt\airconditionervent", etc.

Or perhaps you are referring to sounds from some mod (such as "Freeside Open"). As I said, you aren't clear as to what you want (beyond "Freeside" related) so it's less likely you will get a response.

And this is the wrong sub-forum for such a question. This section is for requesting someone else to make a mod for you. You should PM moderator and ask them to move this to either the "Mod Talk" or "GECK" sub-forum. Not everyone reads all the sub-forums, so the correct section is more likely to get the correct "eyeballs" on your request.

I'm looking for the background sounds you can hear in freeside such as glass breaking, women screaming, etc.

I thought it was one whole track I didn't know it was individual sounds.

I don't know how to open a .BSA

You will need a tool such as BSAExtractor (BSAE) (freeware) for extracting just one file from, or the entire contents of, BSA files.

There are other tools listed in the Packaging Tools section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article.

WARNING! Do not unpack BSAs directly into your game "Data" folder; potentially overwriting any mod files. The tools don't ask you to confirm the overwriting, either. All the hair textures unpacked to "loose files" will go through the head models in that case; because that's what happens when hair is not packed in a BSA. "Best practice" is to unpack to a unique folder (they are large: 1-2GB) and manually drag the desired files to the appropriate "Data" folder as needed.

You might also find the information in the Music & Sounds section of that article of interest as well.
