DemonLady
Cathy thought for a moment, then grabbed out her Radio. "We're near a settlement. not Megaton, but a smaller one that came from Enclave prisoners and such. They have a doctor. I'll radio them, and then we can get Morgan there. Me, Sandro and Axelle can take Morgan, Vers, Vlad, Tomo and Luisa can take the Legion f*** to the Mart." With that,, Cathy moved away for a moment, Radioing New Fairfax, which was just North of the Fairfax Ruins.
boneless1
"Your call" Vlad said to Morgan, he knelt down to Morgans side staring at the wound with a grimacing look about his face. "Well..an..eye for an eye right?"
BaldurAnthology
Sandro noticed Axelle wondering if she could eat the death claw and smiled. "Not that I have heard. Also, before the war, squirrels weren't eaten. They were cute looking pests. Kinda like you, squirt." he said teasingly. Tomoyo looks stressed and frustrated. "We cannot go to the super mart, more Raiders just went in there! Did you not listen! It would be easier and safer to get him to megaton, it isn't that far away. 6 to one, half dozen to the other really. Whatever. Your call, kid." DemonLady
Cathy wandered back over, finally off her call. "Alright. They said if we can get him there ASAP, they're do something. also, don't listen to Roughface, Kiddo. You can eat Deathclaw meat. but I wouldn't reccomend it unless it's a last resort, and cooked. Raw, it does more harm than good. Cooked, at least it fills you up, even if tastes like s***. so, Morgan, you're the pre-War pirate, now. Whaddya say? avast ye arse to the township of ye olden New Fairfax?" Then, Cathy blinked. "That's redundant, and..." Cathy walked voer to the grounded Legion prisoner, ripping a small switch-blade from his hands. "I don't know if you were gonna free yourself or kill yourself, but that aint happenin', buddy." Flipout6
Versing stared at Morgan wordlessly, wishing he knew anything other than basic first aid. He did know one thing he could do, though."I can carry him, or I could be his human crutch." He said loudly. "Oh, and on a side note, even if you manage to capture a Legionairre alive, they're notoriously difficult to interrogate."Of course he had helped kill the deathclaw, he had put several rounds in its legs, but it wasn't enough. He was utterly relieved and gratefull it hadn't killed anybody outright, as it clearly could have. He reloaded his rifle and awaited Morgan's answer, knowing it may take a minute. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Upon the Frumentarii's word, the platoon of Legionairres silently approached the front gate out of the darkness of the night, weapons drawn. In typical Legion fashion, the lowest ranking Legionairres were placed in front as cannon fodder, while the higher ranks were placed in the back. Junius' three contubernia filed into the courtyard, followed by the Decanus himself, Cowboy Repeater drawn. Junius detested ranged combat, but he could not risk charging a fully armed and dangerous security guard, skilled martial fighter or not. He waved his hand, and three "tent groups" of eight Legionairres, totalling 32, including the officers and Junius himself charged into the building, guns blazing. The Decanus himself gunned down several residents as they attempted to flee. Any survivors after the battle would be crucified, in the name of the Legion. The sudden surprise attack on Tenpenny tower by an unknown group had security scrambling, and much of the Capital Wasteland Legionairres were upon on the second floor before security could gun them all down like animals. Junius lead the assault from the rear, firing at any security he could see, although he thoroughly detested such tactics. Using a gun made him feel much like the profligates that Caesar himself had focused most of his attention on, the NCR. He could not see many Legionairres falling in battle so far, which was good. His mere 32 men were skilled, but each one they lost put a major dent in their efficiency as a group. Blasting away with the Cowboy Repeater, Junius fired three shots at a security guard and managed to hit him in the chest, piercing his armor and puncturing his heart, killing him instantly. One that was about to ambush one of his men from around a corner took two bullets to the torso and went down, only to have Junius walk up to him and put a bullet in his forehead, to prevent future heroics. It was only when he heard a clang at his feet did he realize that the guard had had the last laugh: a frag grenade, pin pulled, landed by Junius' feet. With his incredibly fast reflexes, Junius dove out of the way a good second or two before it exploded, but the force of the shockwave was enough to send him sprawling. He landed on his stomach and shook his head, dazed, but got up and continued to fight. There was another problem that would seen be plaguing everybody within the tower, however. The frag grenade had caused massive havoc where it had exploded on the right side of the building, towards the bar. Several tables were on fire and the soon it would spread to the carpeted floor, and slowly creep towards the alcohol cabinet. Even if the alcohol didn't explode, by some miracle, the cabinet itself was also flammable. Junius kept fighting, but he would have to finish this quickly, or else the fire would kill them all. Already it had spread across most of the right side of the first floor, across the whole tavern, and into the next room. A window had burned out and fire strained to get out, becoming the next best thing to a flare being shot from the roof."Legionairres! Finish this quickly and put out the fire!" His voice boomed around the room, so all of his Legionairres heard him. Junius' Frumentarius heard him and realized the full extent of the problem. This tower had to get its water from somewhere, and likely came in through the taps. He scrounged around for a bucket or some other container, eventually finding a large metal bucket in the general store. He sprinted to the nearest bathroom tap, filled it with water, and threw it on some of the flames that were trying to spread into the main room. Pressed for time, he dashed to the tap again, filling the bucket for a second run...
DemonLady
"Okay, is everyone clear? Me, Vers, and Vlad will get Morgan to New Fairfax, Tomo, Luisa, Sandro and Axelle, finish clearing out the Mart and get the Prisoner set up, alright? We gotta move, they're expecting us." Cathy stood beside Morgan, Versing on the other side, waiting to be aided in lifting Morgan up from his position at the bottom of the pole. tokyobiohazard
Axelle sat down in front of the Legionnaire and stared into his eyes. They were a nice color, green with bright golden flecks dotting the outlines of his pupils. She placed a hand on his head and smiled wryly, not sure what exactly was going through this man's head. "Speak." Chips let out a gruff bark from ten feet away, and the Legionnaire actually cracked a smile. Axelle's eyes bored deeper into this man's, and she leaned in closer, "Please speak. I don't want to kill you." He snarled at her and sneered, spitting out, "The tower will burn, profligates! You are already too late!" Axelle looked blankly at the man and her arm quickly shot out to the man's neck. She pretended she was going to choke him, then she reached up into his bundle of limbs and yanked at his middle finger until it was bent completely backwards and a crunch greeted her ears. The man screamed and then held his lips closed together. She broke another one of his fingers. "I am being gentle with you. Nod your head, do something. Are they headed for Tenpenny Tower?" She broke another. And then two more. Finally, he gave a silent nod, "Kill me, please! I can't go back and I can't kill myself. Please!" Axelle sat on top of the man and slowly untied his legs, then tied his arms tightly against his body, all the way down to the broken fingers, so that there was no way he could run, but he could walk while led by someone else. She grabbed his crimson tunic and yanked him forward, "You're coming with me. I caught you. Now I have to train you. You'll not get away with trying to kill my friend with something so quick as suicide or a mercy killing. You'll live long enough to have a chance to redeem yourself, and in the meantime, you can get to know just how moronic your Legion really is by becoming one of the hunted." She looked at Cathy, "Got it." Edited July 9, 2012 by tokyobleach
Flipout6
Versing helped Cathy lift Morgan, and found that he wasn't too heavy. Versing was fit and strong, although his health may be waning."I don't know the way to New Fairfax. I'll just follow your lead." He said. DemonLady
Cathy held one of Morgan's arms around her shoulder and nodded. "Right. Axelle. Do me a favor? Rexie, go to Axelle!" Rex Jr. woofed happily and ran over to the sadistic child and nuzzled her, panting. "Look after RJ for me. If we get into trouble, I can't defend Pirate Man and RJ at the same time. I left my pack here, there's some Purified Water in there for him, and some dog biscuits he likes. Make sure he gets fed every 5 hours, just find some meat for him, squirrel, Deathclaw, Brahmin, he doesn't care. You be a good boy, RJ." The dog woofed happily again, and eventually laid down beside the Legionairre mounted child, and, knowing the hostage was a bad guy, occassionally bit him. Cathy noticed this. "Hahaha, actually, if you get everything out of the Legionairre, feed him to Rex if you want. But feed him ALIVE. Don't kill him first if you do. Alright, Vers, this way." Cathy hauled herself with Vers and morgan to the South East, the direct of Fort Independance, Fairfax and New Fairfax.
BaldurAnthology
Tomoyo swallows nervously. "I-if I get a say in this I would rather not go back where raiders are, but I will go if I need to." Sandro looks at Axelle. "Just remember, though you may have a blade, there will be people in there with guns. You sure you don't want a pistol or something?"
