dragonslayer2k12
Some ideas I have for those capable of using them! For weapons and armor too, why should the weapon or armor look the same after smithing it even one time? The base item should look ok and HD but not the best it can look. Only after smithing to the next level should the item improve in appearance with details, better shine etc. At the end of the smithing range the item should look as detailed and shiny as it could be. Also weapons and in some cases armor when smithing to the highest level should require jewels and gems of some kind and for weapons there should be some kind of visual FX for them when they get to the highest level non enchanted like the jewels/gems get put into the weapon and they glow when you draw the weapon and stop glowing when you put it away. For example the skyforge weapons and armors should have that conan movie pristine look to them. Remember that scene at the end of the first conan movie or was it another conan movie lol, his girlfriend spirit was there to help him out at the last battle with those two guys and she was all super hot and shiny. Yeah that look exactly for skyforge weapons and armor when you smith them to legendary level. Enchanted weapons have crap FX on them! I really can't stand that barbeque sound they make when they are spawned or drawn or used. Yet the dragonbane has that cool FX going on... could various other enchantments be like that instead? That flowing glowing look? Maybe weapons with fire enchantments could be somewhat flaming until they are drained. After recharging with soul gems they flame up again? Same for other enchantments:-) The default steel shield really sucks it looks like garbage, some other steel shields I have seen around here not so good either, would be nice to see an all steel on the top side shield and keep the wood stuff on the back where it would make sense to see it where it would be used to dampen force of attacks instead of being all steel and getting that stinging feeling in your hands from using it. I know it is just a game and your character doesn't feel things like that or do they? But it would help with the immersion a bit more. I found myself using the blades shield later on in the game simply because it looked better and looked like it could deflect better than other shields even though the armor rating was lower. Oh and dragonbone heavy shield is really ugly hope someone can make a new mesh soon for it.
