thumbincubation
Hi Alcoralcor. Can you give a bit more info? Specifically, what do they look like? Are they a purplish color, or do they shine too much or not enough? Do they appear to have the wrong textures? (ie: An iron shield with a picture of a dwarven dagger smeared across it, or similar)

thumbincubation
Ooh, ok. So you've installed texture mods for weapon and shield, but they still look the same? First thing you will want to do is look into the archive, to be sure there isn't an .esp with the mod. If there is an .esp, then it's possible the textures are linked to something within the mod itself, and you'll need to make sure the .esp is installed and active. If there is no .esp, then you may have a replacer file. Usually, these just include a folder of textures. Most authors, lately, have been putting them into the correct file path, starting with "data," so all you have to do is drop them into your "skyrim special edition" directory. A common mistake is to drop the mod's "data" folder inside your own data folder, and then the game won't know where to look for it. Make sure your modded textures follow the exact same file path as the mod author set up. (ie: skyrimspecialedition > data > textures > armor > steel, rather than skyrimspecialedition > data > data > textures > armor > steel.) If that doesn't help, please name or link the mod, so we can take a look at it and see what we can figure out.

thumbincubation
Have you tried the Amidianborn Book of Silence? It offers retextures for a whole lot of the vanilla weapons and armor in the vanilla game.
alcoralcor
this one ? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24909/?tab=description does it work in skyrim special edition ?
thumbincubation
Sure does. I use it, along with Gamwich's rustic armor and clothing mods, and FrankFamily's armor retextures. I've had no problems with it at all, in Legendary or Special editions.
