Watman92
I'm new to using mods from Nexus. I've managed to use about a dozen or so mods without much trouble but I encountered a problem I can't seem to fix. When I go to create a character in the Base Game to doesn't give me the option of choosing an Origin to play as. It only shows one called "Grey Warden" like in the Awakening expansion. I also can't change any of my characters features when creating them. When I actually start playing the Character initially appears as a Human Male character regardless of the Race and Gender I picked out. When I quit out and load back in as the character it reverts back to the Race and Gender I chose but only with default appearances and they also don't have the surnames from Origins, only the ones from the Grey Warden origin option from Awakening. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. I cannot find the source of the problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue or something similar? I've used NMM for most of the mods. Don't know if that had something to do with it but thought I should mention it just in case.

If any of them are standalone quest modules, that is the most likely cause of of the Grey Warden origin-only issue... modules that add content to be played outside of Origins should not be installed when playing the base game or Awakening. Nexus Mod Manager is a poor choice for installing DAO mods; I recommend DAO-ModManager as the best and most reliable manager for the game. This. Very much this! And regarding mods in general, see this article for a better understanding of the basics: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies.
