Re-Load Bug :(

I have noticed while extensively testing my current project prior to release that if I choose to reload, or die and am forced to reload, with the game still 'running' [rather than shutting SKYRIM down and restarting it, then reloading my last save] the mod almost always get borked. With seemingly random results... Actors think their 'editor location' is somewhere else, items I deleted from a vanilla cell show up piled in the center of the room, all the encounter creatures in an area are suddenly congregated in one small area regardless of where they were originally... etc.

 

When I notice it, it is always fixed by shutting down SKYRIM and reloading the save again. I have no idea what happens if I save a 'borked' game and then reload that, I guess I'll have to try it.

 

In any case, It seems clear this is a Bethesda issue and not a modder Issue. It seems crappy, but I suppose I'll just have to warn players to always restart the game when re-loading. :(

I had a similar issue when I first made the new Vegas mod clone test lab the only way I got it to work was to remake the navmesh for the interior cell after that they stopped all appearing in one room. It may have just needed the cover edges settings changed. I read somewhere on these forums that skyrim modders were having issues with the navemesh in the creation kit not shure if any of the skyrim patches since have fixed this.
