Huge grass escalation - which mod does that?

Dear community,

my grass is escalating in size and density:

Any ini changes do not affect this at all, I have too high and too much grass and I don't know what mod overrides the settings. I removed Flora Overhaul and Grass FPS boost, didn't change anything. I can remove grass entirely or have this overpopulated grass. Any advice how to troubleshoot?

Other than this I get occasional CTDs (maybe once an hour), no other issues.

I am using Vortex and Wrye Bash. I also used BethINI.

Hmmm not sure. Does The People Of Skyrim touch grass at all? I dont use it but I know it makes a lot of changes generally

Looking at the loadorder, I don't have a clue either.

 

What you can do: Check your Skyrim SE folder for modded grass meshes and textures (e.g. leftovers from previously installed mods).

 

Go to

1. Skyrim SE/data/meshes/landscape/grass

and

2. Skyrim SE/data/textures/landscape grass

 

See, if there are any files in these folders. If so, remove them - but make a backup somewhere else.

 

See, if this solves the problem. If it doesn't you might have to install some grass mod to overwrite whatever you have installed. Not a "solution", but maybe a "workaround"...

Im not even sure which mod those grasses are from. Maybe Reach Mugwort and Thistle?

Perhaps a bit more info on the grass itself...where is it, pics of grass etc might help us identify the mod
