Hello guys and girls

I just attempt to install the new california mod, however I keep getting the error pop up. The notification that pops up say 'A problem has occured: The rootelementof a W3C XML schema should be <schema> and it namespace should be http://www.w3.org?2001?xmlschema' I have not a single clue what this means or what to do about it. Any help would be gratefull.

Many thanks Pati

Use Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) to install it instead, the nexus mod manager breaks every time a large mod is trying to be installed so just ends it.

Using FOMM is a lot more reliable for larger mods in fallout and it worked for me when I installed New California, just be patient even if it looks like it crashed because its trying to load a lot of stuff.

Fallout mod manger: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54991/?

1. Download New California and the patch.

2. Launch FOMM, go to package manager.

3. Add package.

4. Find Fallout New California and add it, same with the patch.

5. Click the activate button for the main file. (It may have seemed to crash but give it a few moments) Do the same for the patch.

6. Then activate it in your mod list in the new vegas launcher or nexus plugin list.

Hope this helps.
