Like the picture implies, being Lawful Good doesn't mean you always try to solve problems with words. :P

The thing is the lawful/Chaotic references are only guidelines (Pirates of the Caribbean quote :D) it says on PHB that even a paladin can use stealth if it is for the greater good... The term greater good is another blurry subject... If you read the comic knightfall, Jean Paul takes the identity Batman cause Bruce Wayne's spine is injured and cant walk...

 

In a fight with scarecrow, jean paul lets a boy fall from the roof in order to stop scarecrow and another character, Anarchy is there to save the boy... After the encounter Anarchy asks why he let the boy fall, Batman tells him that many lives were at stake and one person's death would mean nothing in order to stop Scarecrow...

 

so it is rather a large debate how lawful/chaotic characters should roleplay, as a DM for more than 10 years, I don't have strict lines of good and evil, if a player is able to explain his way of behaving, it is fine with me...
