edrut5
I have read and watched youtube videos about the "Striking the Heart" glitch, but I am still unable to complete the quest. Console commands say I'm missing the parameter codes. I think it's because I started "Blood's Honor" before this one. does anyone have any idea how to fix this, or am I just screwed?:wallbash:
xlcr
@edrut5, does this work?setstage cr09 20 'Striking the Heart' is a prerequisite radiant quest, it shouldn't mess up main Companions quest 'Blood's Honor'; but, you need to complete it before starting Blood's Honor as you probably know. Did you previously kill the Silverhand leader at Valtheim Towers? This bug is supposedly fixed by version 1.6 of the Official Skyrim Patch lol.. Oh well, I have started a new character. Hopefully I won't make the same mistakes again. And yes, I figured that out after I started Striking the Heart. xlcr
@edrut5, just a suggestion, given Skyrim's 'open explorable world' and unprotected NPC's/itemsthat do not respawn and main/radiant quests are dependent on, its probably best not to clear any 'discovered' locations. It's a hassle playing as an adventurer; but, you can lookup/research a discovered location to make sure there are no quests that reference that location before inadvertently clearing it.Skyrim is unfortunately somewhat flawed because the open world design allows certain vulnerable scripted quests/locations to get broken, it doesn't happen often; but, when glitches occur it can be tough to fix.You might want to try this mod that tries to warn you if a location has a quest attached to it:Dungeon Quest Awareness by Darkwolfn1 - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9720 Probably preferable to stick to a single faction's main quest line and finish it, don't accept any of the extra 'radiant' miscellaneous quests, then move on to the next faction, main city, or settlement quest line of your choice. Anyway, again, suggest ignoring/not clearing discovered locations until completing the main, main faction, main city/settlement quests first.
