dubiousintent
So my Fallout.ini file for new vegas won't save any changes i make to it but the falloutPrefs ini file will. the moment the game launches the fallout.ini file resets to default. Is that normal? That only happens when you use the "FalloutNVLauncher.exe" instead of the "FalloutNV.exe" or "nvse_loader.exe" to start the game. If you use either of the latter two, it won't replace "Fallout.INI". "FNVLauncher" is only needed the very first time you run the game, or after you "verify local files" for exactly that reason: it initially creates or replaces the "Users" "Fallout.INI" with the "Default" version. -Dubious-

Thanks for reporting your solution. (Funny: mine, as best I can tell, always had that setting.) Added to that entry in the "Troubleshooting" guide. -Dubious-
