TyburnKetch
I am having an issue that I have been trying to sort for the last 4 days regarding impact data for a projectile spell. I have set up a ring (a teleportal) that has 8 xmarkers around the rim and one xmarker in the middle. I am using the zap function in my script to shoot a projectile from the middle xmarker to all the outer ones. I have set the script to run on CellLoad. My magic effect is set to script (not needed but not sure of other archetypes), concentration and aimed. I have no area, painless and fx persist flagged. Then the projectile and impact data set selected. I have created my own impact data set but having tested with various vanilla sets my problem persists. I have attached to a spell that is aimed and concentration with auto calculate ticked. i have also selected area effect ignores LOS. My effect is selected in the spell and i have not changed any settings in there. When in game I load the cell and often just the projectile visuals are showing. i go back and tweak an xmarker position or two. Reload the cell and then suddenly the projectile AND impact data visuals show. Great! It looks amazing. But then after a few seconds (or a few minutes - is totally random) the impact data visuals disappear. I can still hear the effect ... but no visuals. The projectile visuals fire constantly but the impact data is seriously wonky. It seems that the xmarkers are problematic but I cannot work out why or if there is a better option to get the effect i want. I am now at a loss as to why this is happening. The script fires, the projectile fires - the impact data sometimes fires. I have tried changing durations all over the place but it does not make a difference. If anybody could add some insight here I would be so grateful. If you need more info please ask. Edited October 30, 2018 by TyburnKetch
TyburnKetch
I am still at a loss with this. Sometimes the impact data fires. Sometimes it doesnât. It seems completely random. Has no one ever experienced this before?
