Moonmaiden37
Has anyone else had this problem? As a city elf, when talking to Alistair about Duncan and he asks you if you've had someone close to you die, I have no option to tell him that my fiance was murded on our wedding day. Is it just my game or has it happened to others? and is there a fix for it? I know there is a response in his approval rating on Dragon Age Wiki. I am playing as a female (always, as I love Alistair.) Thank you for any help you can give.
Codifer
The death of your fiance (however you might have felt about him) is not such a singular event considering that your mother was also murdered, as were any lady Elf attractive enough to be raped and murdered by the Arle's demented son, and many elves who died doing the dangerous work "...on the high beams or on the docks". In the Alienage, Elves are expendable. Death is common. Your fiance is someone you just met an hour ago. So the answer is.... "I've seen enough death......". Moonmaiden37
Yes that is the answer I usually give, so thanks anyway, I just thought you could tell him that other answer.
Codifer
I agree. I would also add further responses to Alistair (who has what experiences exactly?): "You have no fracking idea, do you?" "You never knew your mother either, did you?" Much of Ali's history is a mystery.... to me, he seems like a frat boy but perhaps his life was more difficult than I picture it. I can easily picture Alistair and his mates holding some bloke down and shearing his hair because it was long and blond. That is the beauty of Dragon Age.... so much of the game experience is relative to our individual head set. My city Elf ladies never have anything to do with Alistair..... but then I am an old man, you see. Your mileage may vary. However and why ever you do it.... enjoy!
