luceid
Hi folks, first of all: Please excuse my English - it's not my native tongue (that would be German)currently I'm trying to play FNV on my Laptop (i5, 4GB RAM, nVidia GTM 525 .__.) - heavily modded of course.The game itself did run quiet well on a small non-modded test. But now the game crashes exactly after 1~2 seconds after I hit the exe file :(edit: Forgot one important thing: Crashes even, when only FalloutNV.esm is checked in the FOMM :( So my first guess was some incompatibility due mods. But the FNVEdit didn't brought up any conflicts after I fixed one or two with the help of that tool.That leaves me kinda helpless... once again :psyduck: So, I've prepared some stuff: Load-Order [X] FalloutNV.esm [X] DeadMoney.esm [X] HonestHearts.esm [X] OldWorldBlues.esm [X] LonesomeRoad.esm [X] GunRunnersArsenal.esm [X] ClassicPack.esm [X] Military Explansion Program.esm [X] Military NV Backpacks.esm [X] DWCNV.esm [X] NVEC Complete + NVCE.esm [X] Project Nevada - Core.esm [X] NSkies URWLified.esm [X] NVInteriors_Core.esm [X] NVInteriors_ComboEdition.esm [X] Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esm [X] More Perks.esm [X] More Traits.esm [X] More Perks for Companions.esm [X] More Perks for Dead Money.esm [X] More Perks for Honest Hearts.esm [X] More Perks for Old World Blues.esm [X] Primary Needs HUD.esm [X] Run the Lucky 38.esm [X] WMVM.esm [X] New Vegas Redesigned II.esm [X] Tales from the Burning Sands.esm [X] Lings.esm [X] D.E.I.M.O.S..esm [X] Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp [X] FOOK - New Vegas.esm [X] FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esm [X] Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp [X] CASM.esp [X] The Mod Configuration Menu.esp [X] NCR Primm Rebuilt 1.esp [X] Searchlight Outpost- Revamp.esp [X] Legion Outpost.esp [X] The New Bison Steve Hotel.esp [X] UHNV.esp [X] WeaponJammingMoreJams.esp [X] NSNSLR.esp [X] UHNV-Dead Money.esp [X] UHNV-Honest Hearts.esp [X] UHNV-OWB.esp [X] UHNV-Lonesome Road.esp [X] FOOK - New Vegas.esp [X] FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esp [X] FOOK - Lings.esp [X] XFO - 9a - Enemies - AI revamp.esp [X] XFO - 9da - Enemies - NPC Healing - low.esp [X] Project Nevada - Dead Money.esp [X] Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp [X] Project Nevada - Old World Blues (No Cyberware).esp [X] Project Nevada - Lonesome Road.esp [X] Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp [X] enclaveradio.esp [X] Existence2.0.esp [X] Improved Sound FX.esp [X] Improved Sound FX - Weapon Sharing Fix.esp [X] Dog_City3.esp [X] Goodsprings Filler.esp [X] NewVegasBounties.esp [X] NewVegasBountiesII.esp [X] The Lucky 38 Empire.esp [X] More Perks Update.esp [X] More Perks for Companions Update.esp [X] More Perks for Dead Money Update.esp [X] More Perks for Honest Hearts Update.esp [X] More Perks for Old World Blues Update.esp [X] More Traits Update.esp [X] xatmosSkillPerks.esp [X] FalloutNVCheatTerminal.esp [X] QS_Blackwolf_NV_Backpackmod.esp [X] AsukaArmorMkiV.esp [X] Fallout 1 and 2 ambient music v0.2.esp [X] shut up musicspeakers.esp [X] epock.esp [X] CNR_Beta.esp [X] FlashlightNVSE.esp [X] ghostbodysuitcamo.esp [X] Military NV Backpacks - BumBagUseSlot1.esp [X] NCR Rearmament v1.5 (Lore).esp [X] NWghostbodysuit.esp [X] Roberts_NewVegas.esp [X] Tailor Maid - NV.esp [X] VegasChokers.esp [X] NVEC Performance Of The Gods - DLC - Mission Mojave.esp [X] NVR- Recommended.esp [X] New Vegas redesigned- Honest Hearts.esp [X] Voice dissonance fix.esp [X] Comp_Idles_NV.esp [X] Companion Sandbox Mode3.esp [X] originalintro.esp [X] outsidebets.esp [X] Pacersgambit.esp [X] NVWillow.esp [X] MusicRecovery.esp [X] 1nivVSLArmors.esp [X] NVInteriors_Combo_Tweaks_DLC.esp [X] WeaponModsExpanded.esp [X] WMX-FOOKNV CP.esp [X] WMX-DeadMoney.esp [X] WMX-HonestHearts.esp [X] WMX-OldWorldBlues.esp [X] WMX-LonesomeRoad.esp [X] WMX-GunRunnersArsenal.esp [X] WMX-FOOKNV-DLCs CP.esp [X] Improved Sound FX - FOOK-WMX Sharing Fix.esp [X] Improved Sound FX - FOOK-WMX HH Sharing Fix.esp [X] Improved Sound FX - FOOK-WMX OWB Sharing Fix.esp [X] AVP-Infinite Size.esp [X] WMX-PreOrderPackClassic.esp [X] Vurt's WFO.esp [X] NSkies URWLifiedOWB.esp [X] NSkies URWLifiedHH.esp [X] NSkies URWLifiedDM.esp [X] Interior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.esp [X] ILO - NVInteriors Project.esp [X] ILO - NSkies URWLified Patch.esp [X] No Sleeves No Shirts NV.esp [X] NSNSDM.esp [X] NSNSHH.esp [X] NPCs wear NSNS NV.esp [X] Holster Gear.esp [X] Veronica1.0.esp [X] merge-test.esp Since my laptop isn't as powerful as my tower at home, I had to do some things like using optimizer textures, adding stutter-remover, etc.I don't know, if the error comes from here :ohdear: Anyway: I made a screenshot from the games main-folder. Maybe something went wrong here:http://i0.simplest-image-hosting.net/thumbnail/folder-contents.jpg I already checked some other things like up-to-date drivers, disabled read-only-flags made sure Comodo won't block the exe-files to death, etc.It didn't help :( Maybe someone with sharp eyes could help? :ohdear: PS: Although FNVEdit didn't brought up any errors, something wondered me:[00:44] Background Loader: [1nivVSLArmors.bsa] Skipped.[00:44] Background Loader: [C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\] Setting Resource Path.[00:44] Background Loader: finished It's been a while,since I last used FNVEdit and stuff - is it normal, that it simply skips the BSA? rickerhk
First, under my documents\mygames\ I would copy fallout.ini and falloutpref.ini somewhere as a backup, and then delete them, to let the game make new ones. If that fails, I would uninstall all the mods that change the HUD - Project nevada, Primary needs, Mod config menu, etc. Then delete the 'menus' directory under data. Then re-install those mods. I would recommend you get Universal HUD, then install it last as it detects those other mods and ties them together. The new versions of FNV edit skip loading the BSA files
luceid
Thanks for the reply rickerhk :) Your post did remind me of something I seem to forgot: Unified HUD :ohdear I'll try this as soon as I'll come home (at work atm).I guess this could be the source.I remember I already had a similar isue some months before (HUD/xml wise) Edited June 25, 2012 by luceid
luceid
Well... it didn't work :wallbash: Maybe I've some wrong files in the main folder (all those NVSE, 4GB, etc. things are kinda confusing) or something else is broken...I'll reinstall it :psyduck:
durbin
Do you run NVSE because I know it says its confusing but it is required by most of the mods. Also I have heard some bad things about Fook causing a lot of CTD. I would try getting rid of Fook and maybe a few mods. Make sure to double check for compatibility patches for some of the mods also. I know WMX has one for PN and reinstall PN because you use have the cyberware active, I made that mistake also.

Nah, I have NVSE, the 4GB-Loader to be precise.FOOK never caused any crash for me on my PC so I guess it won't do so on my Laptop either.I wouldn't wanna play FONV without FOOK anyways ;)Also: The game crashed even without any mod enabled :ohdear: So my wild guesses are:1. My Comodo Defense+ did block some things during the installations2. I messed some things up with the Interface-Files (my install-order: MCM, Flashlight, PN, Primary Needs, MTUI and then Unified HUD - maybe it's wrong this way?) 3. Optimizer Textures did some weird things (shouldn't have checked the basic bsa-files >.>) So, wish me luck this time.
durbin
Trying running fake fullscreen and run as administrator and check disable display settings. This fixed all my problems because the 4gb patch was not working for some reason. When I applied this everything seemed to work fine with no crashes. rickerhk
Some fallout.ini things that I went through:if you changed the fonts for Darn's UI, then remove the mod, it will crash if the fonts aren't there. If you had RFCW and added some BSAs to the archive list, it will crash if the BSAs aren't there. luceid
Thanks for your replies guys :) Trying running fake fullscreen and run as administrator and check disable display settings. This fixed all my problems because the 4gb patch was not working for some reason. When I applied this everything seemed to work fine with no crashes.I already use the Fake Fullscreen since I started to play this game ;)Currently I only have Vanilla-FONV (re-)installed and it runs smoothly with the FF and the 4GB NVSE Loader. (And the enhanced shaders)I guess the problem came from something else (Interface or corrupted bsa-files) Some fallout.ini things that I went through:if you changed the fonts for Darn's UI, then remove the mod, it will crash if the fonts aren't there. If you had RFCW and added some BSAs to the archive list, it will crash if the BSAs aren't there.Well, I didn't use any of the mentioned mods, neither Requiem or DARN's. But I guess the direction of your thinking is right, something seemed to be missing file-wise.(Unluckily the FNVEdit didn't told me what exactly) Or some file was just simply corrupt. This time, I'll be more careful. I'll install all UI-related mods the next few days in this order: MCM, Flashlight, MTUI, PN, Primary Needs and then Unified HUD.I hope everything will be alright this way. After this, there will be the typical "add three to five things and test, then proceed"
