Elouske
So I have no mods changing shadows but the shadows don't show up anywhere and when I walk where they should be (under a tree) most of the world I can see goes dark and it has a grid like pattern of lines running through it. I have tried removing shadows with mods and ini tweaks but so far nothing has worked, any other things I could try? Here are two pictures, the top one is when in shade, the bottom one when out. http://imgur.com/a/09ZZL

Rennn
I've seen this before, in my game actually. Do you alt+tab out of Skyrim, or enter the task manager, or press Ctrl+Alt+Delete when you play Skyrim? Those things can cause the problem ever since the grass shadow patch. Can doing that once make it happen like that? It happens even if I haven't Alt+Tab out.
TheFourthHorse
I don't know much about ATI but your card seems to be on the low end of the spectrum... - Has it always done this or has just appeared recently? - Do you have any performance mods, enhancement mods, post process injectors, etc...? - Did you add any mods recently? - Had you tweaked the ini recently? (aside from your attempted fix)

TheFourthHorse
If it has always done this I'm afraid it may just be your specs holding you back. I'm no expert though, I'd keep looking around for a solution. What version are you running btw? Food for thought: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615805-/61586134 http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2285019 http://i44.tinypic.com/mc82z7.pngThis image is actually about another matter but according to this the 4200 is not compatible.
