kcallis
Is there a way to really understand how to properly organize and prioritize mod loading? For instance, a couple of days ago, I added NVAC and CASM, and thought that life was groovy. I fire up FNV, and suddenly, the mapping for my controller has changed locations. I change to made the MCM run before Project Nevada, but I see that the dependencies are amber with lighting bolt (although that might just be because I changed the order). I look at my FNV directory and wonder why so many files seem to be locked (see attached file). Any info on loading the mods correctly would be greatly appreciated! dubiousintent
Getting the game modded properly is less about the "mod manager" you use than about the "install" and "load" orders of the mods you choose to implement. I recommend you read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to mod FNV. As for Vortex itself, that wiki article has Gopher's video tutorial series and the Nexus Wiki category of articles on various aspects of it linked under the 'Mod Managers' section. -Dubious-
