DorianGray92
This is a tricky one I believe as the majority of npc rely on magic such as witches and the like but I would love to at least try a mod that makes the world of skyrim a magic free place, probably to go along with Skyrim - An Alternate Reality "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10929" to avoid the dragon shouts.Imagine a world with just swords/axes/hammers/bows and no magic spamming fools who don't want to stand still when all you want to do is 'knight' them with your battle axe! Allnamesinuse
This is exactly what I have been looking for as well.I checked out the link for the "alternate reality" mod as well, and I agree that would be the right mod to combine it with. Being able to get rid of dragons from the game as well.
Rennn
It'd be simple enough to get rid of all magic used in the game. I could simply replace the mage actors with new classes like assassins, berserkers, etc. There's actually tactical room to expand there. Then I'd remove your starting spells, remove spell tomes from the levelled and vendor lists, and delete the actual spell tome objects. I suppose I would also have to bury the college of Winterhold under an avalanche. Maybe I could work it into some books that the entire Mage (Alchemist) College collapsed. Unfortunately, the inventory page for spells would still be there. Hmm... I can do the rest if you like, since I'd like this as well, but I have no idea how to get rid of the inventory page. Maybe it could be renamed to "Active Effects" or something, and still keep track of diseases. Other than that, someone more experienced would have to come to the rescue. Do you want enchantments removed as well? I'm inclined to leave enchantments intact. Edited December 28, 2012 by Rennn
Allnamesinuse
Enchantments is not such a big deal as spells but I guess that's the sort of thing that would be best left optional.
Naelnor
Look no more:) All this magic mambo-jumbo was really annoying and destroying the game... Wasnt an easy task, but here you go- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57337/? I do have a diferent opinion about magic, for me its rituals, long preparations, etc. I grow up on BOOKShttp://cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png like Conan and Lord of the Ringshttp://cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png, where magic is more realistic, away closer to real world. For EXAMPLEhttp://cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png in Conans realm only few most powerfull mages in the world could summon a Dark Phantom, and it requaired thousands of rituals and weeks of preparations... In LotR only couple mages in the whole world could cast a fire ball, like Gandalf or Saruman. In Skyrim every second npc acts in combat like he spended his child hood in Mage College. That is wrong in my opinion.
