Gardion
Hello everybody, i have a serious problem. The problem is that i just make the spanish translation of this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10891But i need the permissions of the creator of the mod to upload the translation, but i just discover that the creator is banned. So the question is:Can i upload the translations of mods which creators are banned, or i can not do it? A lot of thanks for your answers and for your help
Thandal
"No". Or maybe "Yes". Depends on what you've done. If what you've actually created is a "stand-alone" mod, (the original mod is not required) based on the other one, then "No". Banned or not, we would still require you to obtain the original author's permission to post this variant of the work. (Presuming the ban wasn't for ripped or otherwise illegal content in the mod under discussion...) But if your mod is a supplement to the original one, and the player would have to have both of them to make yours work, then "Yes, you could post it here." DrakeTheDragon
We're talking of a mod consisting of 2 script files and 1 ESP. For a translation 1 or maybe all of them need to be replaced with a translated version. If there's text in the scripts, they need to be replaced, too. I fail to see a way to make the translation "require" the original mod. But have you tried contacting the author via "email" already? You know, there's a link "Click here to e-mail me" in da5id2701's forum profile. He might be banned and unable to check or receive "PMs" here, but chances are his email address is still valid. Just a suggestion though.
