just when I thought I was safe with my 360 for having it for 3 years the red ring finally nabs the great BlAcK hAwK but being the nice people they are xbox (the company) have given me free shipping a free repair a free month of xbox live and I couldnt be happier. BUT being the geek I am it is bad to wait the 2-3 weeks I have to wait

LOL yea the red ring of death plaged me since day one. The system has one majore flaw in it, the video chipset has no heatsink, when it over heats it melts the sader, soon it'll stop working all together. Maybe you should go somewhere where they fix xbox's, lucky for me there was.

Don't hold me to this, but I think the latest model 360s have heatsinks included on their video chipsets. The massive amounts of repairs and free stuff they were giving out spurned them to keep it from happening so often.

we'll see i recently got a new xbox 360 after my previous one ....err sailed through the air and had a nasty landing not even a red ring of death not even a buzz it was dead in the water

my previous one never had a red ring of death and i hope this one wont either

 

btw its not xbox company its just microsofts xbox division

I had the red ring of death from day one, and I think it is getting worse. Eventually I can get it to turn on and then it works fine, no problems whatsoever. Do any of you guys think that maybe I should just send it in to Microsoft now?
