Rubenslash
Hello, I want to play Skyrim on the PC with my Thrustmaster controller. How can I make sure that it will work fine, coz without extra downloads it will only work with the xbox 360 controller? I haven't tested it yet because I can only start playing tomorrow but I allready want to find it out now so I dont have to search hours tomorrow to solve this problem.. Thanks in advance Edited June 27, 2012 by Rubenslash
Rubenslash
I read on google that I should download 'xpadder', will that be enough to let it work? Or do I need additional programs to download? Please help..

ThePopeKYA
I don't know much about your specific controller, but I successfully used Xpadder to play Oblivion with my PS3 controller. Keep in mind though, this simulates playing on a keyboard which means the joystick doesn't affect your characters speed. You'll have to assign a button to switch between walking and running. There is something that can fix that and make it run just like an xbox controller, but once again Im not familiar if it will be compatible with your controller. "MotionJoy" is freeware that can make a ps3 controller function exactly like an xbox controller and trick Skyrim into thinking thats what your'e playing with. You might want to check and see if that software might be able to work with other devices like yours. Hope this helps!
yafi
Xpadder will work but will require you to configurate it manually, and you can find instructions on how to do that over at the forums on their website. It's best to just use what is officially supported if you're in some hurry, and use a 360 controller, the on-screen prompts will also match this.
