Georgiegril Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Full disclosure, if there were levels to modding, I'd be on "milk-drinker." I have been thinking a bit about the increase of problems that seem to follow every new patch. Then I started to think about textures. Then I read this thread from back after in Feb, which basically says that .bsa files are attached to the file with the same name, and will follow that loading order, unless...(linked to original post)"In case of conflict, i.e. two BSAs that load the same objects, the bsa whose name is alphanumerically last will take precedence. This is true regardless of the load order of the associated ESPs". So am I understanding this right? since the update's bsa is "update.bsa", it would overwrite pretty much any other bsa file in case of a conflict? (at least those that start with a number or a-t) And if this is so, would that maybe mean that some of the issues that people are having with animations, textures, etc. post-update that appear to be related to a mod could be caused instead by that mod's .bsa being overwritten by the update? If this is a ridiculous thought, please forgive me. My Skyrim is like my Spanish--just enough to get me in trouble.
