generalwerewolf
I just bought FO3/Oblivion Pack and it installed without any error messages. When I boot up the game it runs fine until I start a new game. The loading screen shows up and when it loads up the game, it crashes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 4 times now to no avail. I'm not running any mods (though I plan to) and I have no special programs in the game files. The version I have is the retail version and not the Steam version. Fallout: New Vegas runs almost flawlessly on this computer, so my computer can run games just fine. Help would be appreciated.
Osuirof
http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13245 ? You could also try:http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086 and other standard steps (limiting cores\threads, disabling codecs, auto\quicksave, running masterupdate, etc.) that you can find all over the web. But the sad truth is that Fallout 3, is very crash-prone, and crashes at random a lot, even when\in places, that it didn't crashed before. And it only gets worse as your playtime grows longer."Funny" thing - DLC world-spaces are quite stable.

generalwerewolf
I tried both, still nothing. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
Osuirof
I tried both...Beside those two links, I've mentioned 4 other things you could do, and also mentioned about standard steps for FO3 crash-less play.So what did you do ?
generalwerewolf
I did some research when those two programs failed to help me. I ended up reading that Fallout 3 just isn't compatible with Windows 7. I'm sorry for not mentioning that I had Windows 7 at first. Thanks anyways for the help!
