Daermonster
As the title says I'm curious if anyone can name a Tower other than what i've dug and found. Now I should clarify that most of us already know there are 8 towers plus the hidden tower.... But there's actually 16 plus a hidden tower and maybe even another hidden tower that I'll mention later on. A Tower with a capitol T is designated in the lore as both a physical and metaphysical force that seperates nirn from oblivion. I am developing a mod Called KOT that will have you protect the towers from being destroyed by the conjoined efforts of :the world eater, the thalmor, Morpho-Marco the father of the wurm, the Time Eater, and much more. The destruction of the towers will bring about the next Kulpa, the aldmer will be reborn into a land free of human scum it's their perogative to accomplish the destruction of all the towers... Here is my list of ALL known T owers... Adamantine Tower (zero Tower) - The First Tower, created by Akatosh to host a meeting of the gods to decide the fate of Lorkhan. INTACT Red Mountain (red Tower) - Landing place of Lorkhans Heart created the entire island of Vvardenfall DESTROYED/ERRUPTED Snow Throat (Snow Tower, High Hrothgar) - Presummed to have been created from the "time break" itself. Explaining why Alduin shows up here and the fact that its stone is simply "the cave" the cave being an alegory for meditation looking within. DESTROYED/SUNDERED KINGLESS BLEEDING White Tower (white gold Tower) - Was built by the Ayleids in an attempt to depart mundus like Auri-el did. DESTROYED/No dragonborn ruler Crystal like Law (Crystal Tower) - Built by ancient aldmer, unclear if this or white tower is older. DESTROYED supposedly destroyed by forces of Oblivion during the invasion. Walking Brass (Brass Tower) - Created by the dwarves it's a giant powerzoid that was double destroyed by the Nerevarine. The Green Tower (Greensap,Eldergreen) - A huge network of Graht Oaks AND pretty much the world tree... Still kickin, although an offshoot of greensap is dying in whiterun. The Sunken Tower (forgotten Tower, Orichalc) - Located on the island of Yokuda, was destroyed when a resident learned CHIM (became enlightened) The isle of Yokuda sank upon this event along with Orichalc. Hidden Tower - Looking sideways into the heart of Lorkhan is a tower. AKA the walking ways That was a list of gauranteed Towers with a capital T.Here is a list of other Towers that hold Mundus saving power as well.... Doomcrag Tower - Located in Northpoint built by the Ayleids Coral Towers (Tower of Thras) - Built by the sload, and rebuilt by the sload located in the Thrassian Islands Bitterwell - Very very little information on this, Located in akavir was created by a Ka Po Tun that achieved chim. Created a crater versus a normal tower. Spiral Skein - Located in Oblivion.... Gotta love Mephala she's tricky. Somehow this tower actually does hold power similar to the others. Ceporah Tower - Highly speculated that the famous tower of the psyjic order hold some of that capital T power. The Lunar Lattice (cat-pile, Lunar Tower,Secret Tower, Dream Tower)- Probably the coolest and most highly speculative Tower on the list. There is a theory that says the Khajiit were tasked with a great secret AND they were tasked with being the protectors of Nirn. I think the secret is that they protect Nirn by being a tower themselves. Similar to how a bunch of graht oaks are a tower together, The entire Khajiit race is a tower together and they pay homage to this secret by thier practice of giving locks of hair to the MANE. In thier dreams on full moons all khajiiti people are transported to the Lunar Lattice. Basically a dream tower to secunda and masser from the khajiit powered by the MANE. Clockwork Bascillica - Created by the genius god sotha sil in his clockwork city. The Flotilla Tower - Even less other than a single comment on reddit talking about A flotilla Tower that floats around the Sea created by the Maromer The Lightless Obliette- A twisted immitation of White Gold Tower in Molag Bal's realm of Coldharbour. Those are all the towers I have been able to dig up, I've spent hours on google so now I'm asking all of nexus if they can name any more Towers than what I have listed. Your detective work in finding other towers is much appreciated. Edited November 15, 2018 by Daermonster

Daermonster
Hmmm while very cool I think that the Leveler's Tower is just a mod. EDIT it seems there may be a third tertiary row of towers... The first 9 are definitive gauranteed mundus saving power (if these towers fall oblivion invades nirn think little nicky) we got 8 physical places and 1 esoteric place being the sideways tower. then our secondary Towers which have some mundus saving power or are least believed to are the following 9 towers I listed. 8 physical places and 1 esoteric place being the dream tower. Now in all my research I think I've stumbled onto something... If one were to think of the towers as working on a dimensional axis then the first two sets of 9 towers would be the X and the Y axis... meaning there is an unaccounted for Z axis that is protecting the SPHERE shaped planet called Nirn. Sphere's have 3 axis, X Y and Z. If X and Y are the basis for all reality and Z gives depth then it holds that Z would be just as effective at mirroring the Tower Strength of the X and Y category Towers. So What Towers would constitute a "Z" Tower? I think any Tower that is powered by enough of the aether can create an anchor holding Nirn away from Oblivion. Very similar to a stitch in the fabric of reality. So under the tertiary category of Z Towers I think we have at least Frostcrag Spire - created by an archmage high likelyhood of being able to stitch mundus up. dunno dunno dunno dunno dunno dunno dunno CHIM - I think that every being whom achieves CHIM balances Mundus in such a way that it acts as a magical anchor between Nirn and oblivion, this is evidenced by Bitter Well's creation and Orichalc's destruction... Jebbalon
Maybe Tower Mzark ?Where the Dragon Elder Scroll is housed. Once the player removes the Elder Scroll that Tower would be considered destroyed. Interesting topic though :)
Moksha8088
Caranthir Tower. It is now reborn, but the mod author says it was around way back when. Since it has so many features it must be powerful and as a mod, its existence is pretty much the same as all the rest.
Daermonster
I can certainly see that Caranthir Tower holds plenty of magical power, however I'm developing a mod called Knights Of Talos that sends you on a huge quest to protect all remaining towers from destruction. When developing a mod I think it's very very important to keep it lore friendly and compatible as possible with other mods. That said Caranthir Tower, while I would love the community and the author and I to all collaboratively create a new lore affiliated tower I know in my heart that the heckling I'll get for not making it lore friendly isn't worth the headache of trying something new. I already have created: Orichalc, Spiral Skein, Doomcrag, Tower of Thras, Bitter Well, ceporah tower and partially done with the Lunar Lattice. Bruma has frostcrag already, wheels of lull has the clockwork basilica which means I have the maromer flotilla and the lightless obelisk to recreate still. Hopefully this article with the contribution of commentators like yourself can help me come up with a full list of what I call "Z" towers and I can incorporate them into my invasion mod as well. I definitely agree on Tower of Mzark being a "Z" Tower. Edited November 16, 2018 by Daermonster
Daermonster
Here is an updated list of Known Towers and thier Grade/qualifications of the grade. ALL TOWERS MUST HAVE A STONE OF SOME KIND, The "stone" acts as the heart and soul of the Tower. "X" grade Qualifications:There are 8 spokes to the wheel of creation, in between these spokes lie the planes of oblivion. X grade Towers are the first of their kind and the Last defenders of seperation. Should these final Towers Fall oblivion and Nirn will meld Together. The first 3 were created by "gods" most of the rest are Immitations. "X" grade Towers are as follows: Adamantine Tower (zero Tower) - The First Tower, created by Akatosh to host a meeting of the gods to decide the fate of Lorkhan. INTACT Red Mountain (red Tower) - Landing place of Lorkhans Heart created the entire island of Vvardenfall DESTROYED/ERRUPTED Snow Throat (Snow Tower, High Hrothgar) - Presummed to have been created from the "time break" itself. AKA the walking ways "Y" grade Qualifications: Towers that are thought of by high ranking NPC's to hold nirn saving power. Immitations of the first 8 that were created in extraordinary ways be it an entire race of people committing thier power into a single Tower or a being transcending into godhood. "Y" grade towers: Doomcrag Tower - Located in Northpoint built by the Ayleids Coral Towers (Tower of Thras) - Built by the sload, and rebuilt by the sload located in the Thrassian Islands Bitterwell - Very very little information on this, Located in akavir was created by a Ka Po Tun that achieved chim. Basically a dream tower to secunda and masser from the khajiit powered by the MANE."Z" grade qulifications: again they must have a stone, the previous entries I did not put the stone in with the description because wikipedia has all the info on most of the towers listed and thier stones. These "z" Towers are a copletely speculative class of tower. We can speculate through logic that there must be a third set of towers and that they must hold some sort of magical link to Nirn and have a stone"Z" grade Towers Thus far: Frostcrag Spire: created by an Arch friggin mage and given to the hero of KVATCH. i believe the stone to be the alchemy station. It's not an ordinary station, it's the grandpappy of "THE WHITE PHIAL" making it extremely linked to Nirn since it can imbue potions with the essence of Nirn itself. Tower Of Mzark: Dwemer construct, extremely magical in nature as it holds an elder scroll within, jabbalon and I agree that the stone would be the elder scroll. ? ? ? ? ? ? Jebbalon
I won't pretend to know very much about Elder scrolls lore - especially at this level - but I do have two more ideas for you... - The network of Doom Stones. (warrior, mage, thief ...) Individually no, but all 13 together might have power comparable to other Towers. Each province has them also so way more than just the 13 in skyrim. - Dawnguard DLC has the Aetherium Forge. Very deep and obvious source of power.
