falsfire1976
So I found a little more info. In User\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\temp\dumps, the following .dmp.log file: Exception time: 1542070310Exception code: c0000005Exception address: 00007FFE76F5FB46writing dump C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\temp\dumps\crash-main-1542070307061.dmpsuccessException time: 1542070310Exception code: c0000005Exception address: 00007FFE76F5FB46writing dump C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\temp\dumps\crash-main-1542070307061.dmpsuccessException time: 1542070310Exception code: c0000005Exception address: 00007FFE76F5FB46writing dump C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\temp\dumps\crash-main-1542070307061.dmp The .dmp file it refers to is 0 bytes, and empty, so no point including it here. Any idea what Exception Code c0000005 is?
rmm200
Exception code c0000005 is the code for an access violation. That means that your program is accessing (either reading or writing) a memory address to which it does not have rights. If it were me - I would let the Microsoft memory diagnostic run over night, just to make sure you don't have any hardware issues. falsfire1976
Anything else I can try or is Vortex just not compatible with my particular shop-built custom PC? Does Nexus still work? Has Nexus even been updated in any recent timeframe?

Has Nexus even been updated in any recent timeframe?Go to Vortex download page and download the second latest version (the version just older than the last), I believe that's the one uploaded on 23rd October. That should work for you.
falsfire1976
It's been awhile, but I figured this out today. I had UAC completely disabled on my system. After seeing some other posts pertaining to Vortex and UAC, I re-enabled UAC.It still didn't open.So I simply uninstalled and reinstalled it, with UAC enabled. Presto!
