Skyrim crashes when adding plugins.txt, HELP!

Okay, so I added the mod files for Apachii Sky Hair and Temptress Race, then I added the plugins.txt file to make the esp files work, but when I reopened skyrim, it quit at the title screen. I tried removing the plugins.txt and then it worked fine, so what is the problem here. Never happened before. I am only trying to use those two mods.

You do not need to alter the plugins.txt and loadorder.txt manually. For reference, they live in c/users/[name]/appdata/local/skyrim

All you need to do is "check" the files in the launcher, or better yet use nexus mod manager.

I'm using a mac, thats why I had to modify plugins.txt and why I can't use NMM. ANy other suggestions?

I'm having the same problem except I'm using a different mod. I've been trying to solve the problem but there aren't many others with this problem so I'm out of luck so far.
